According to the book Successful Marketing Strategies for Nonprofit Organization by Barry McLeish, nonprofit groups compete with each other in roughly four areas - quality of programs or technology, positioning of programs or products, quality of support services and price. Let's take a look at each of these areas and compare them with regard to how a for-profit company competes.

Alliances are many things. They are businesses that agree to refer clients to each other. They are also Power Partners that work together for a common customer. Everyone should have an Alliance Network to maximize marketing dollars.

Required Disclosure to Foreign Investors

At one point the Federal Trade Commission had considered that United States based franchisors were to provide franchise disclosures to the potential buyers of foreign countries. This of course is problematic since it is widely known that foreign based companies often steal us trade secrets and copy products and business methods.
