After the six months were up David's balance transfer had the interest rate kick in. On top of this David had a new job and was now traveling further into work, now although the new job was more money he was also in need of a reliable car so he got a loan and purchased a reliable car. Now with a loan and two credit cards the new job was going to help get rid of all of these.

These times were not the lowest point for David there was worse to come.
The debt was playing on David's mind all the time and he was more than aware that he was going to have to do something drastic but did not want to let his family down by declaring bankruptcy. "I lost my job because I couldn't concentrate but the credit card companies didn't care they just wanted their payment each month."
