I called the number (just to find out what it is!), I found out that for you to be able to work as a Medical Biller, you have to purchase their software at a range of $800-1,500 (I thought, it is actually a packaged-medical billing business). They will then train you how to use their software, after (I think) 10 days of training, you will have an access to their so-called doctors’ database. They promised you can get your 1st client through their database.Due to my curiosity, I started reading and researching packaged homebased medical billing business. But take note: the training you will get is NOT actually a medical billing training. The bottom line here? – you simply purchase the business, pay for their software and start your business! But how realistic is this? I know some people who ended up with no clients at all after purchasing the software! And then later on, I’ve read that the Federal Trade Commission warned us about these companies offering homebased medical billing business with their false claims on how you make a lot of money on this business.Medical Billing is a legitimate business (either home-based or office-based) and you can make good money as long as you know how to do it, the right way. But before that, consider the 10 Things You Need To Do:1.Try to gain actual work experience. Work as a Medical Biller in a doctor’s office (or even as a volunteer at your nearest hospital). Do this for at least a year.2.You should be highly knowledgeable on HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) and how does your current work/practice place complies/follows its rules and regulations. I alway • You answered all the questions but only provided theoretical statements of what you think applied to pharmaceutical sales. • You could not provide enough concrete examples of your strengths in key capabilities • You tried to steer the interviewer to focus on a set of key facts and capabilities which highlights what you perceive as your best qualities. • You spent too much time discussing your beliefs without providing concrete evidence that you have particular capability strengths Overcoming Obstacles to a Successful Interview If you are lucky you can learn from your mistakes and interview better the next time around. These clues would include the likes and dislikes and interests and goals of an individual. If your business is in the process of development, you'll realise that there many aspects to office expansion that you'll need to cover. For instance, you might be building an additional floor onto your building, or renovating any existing unused parts of your building to accommodate your burgeoning staff levels and equipment. But whether you require building services or facilities management, you can be sure that you and your business won't have to undertake these daunting tasks without support. Many companies offer full property management services that are tailor-made to meet the needs of any business - large or small. If you've just moved your business into a larger office, for example, or you've built a new addition to your existing office building, you may require building services. Building services from a property management company can offer a cost-effective way for you to benefit from planned preventative maintenance, and you'll often be able to choose from either a mobile or residential service. This means that you'll have the security of knowing that engineers will be on hand to deal with any building problems that might arise; providing invaluable comfort if you've just moved into new offices.Once you have new office space in your recently expanded offices, you'll also want to make sure that you optimise the space that you've already got. A companies selection process is like a filter or funnel.. As we discussed earlier the selection process can be an expensive process for a company. Therefore, they do not want to waste time interviewing candidates who are not qualified. Therefore they filter out non qualified candidates. One way of filtering out unqualified candidates is to have someone review resumes for basic qualifications which vary by companies but could, but not necessarily always, include the following: • Bachelor Degree This first pass may eliminate 80% of all resumes received. The next step is a usually a phone interview which will eliminate another 60% of those who were originally passed on by the resume review. A phone interview will be followed up by one or a series of in-depth face to face interviews. Since interviews are the most expensive part of the process these are reserved for those who have already demonstrated in their resume and phone interview that they potentially have demonstrated the key capabilities necessary for success as a pharmaceutical sales representative. The point being that you must right the resume and be prepared for the phone interview in a way to demonstrate that you have the proven capabilities. You must also go into the final face to face interviews fully prepared to demonstrate the key capabilities and not "wing it". If you are serious about getting the job, you need to seriously prepare. Individual coaching by industry professionals can greatly enhance your ability to move through this process successfully. Another way to get through this screening phase is to rely on a recruiter to qualify candidates. When a company works through a recruiter, they are relying on the recruiter to narrow down the list of candidates to a list of specifications provided by the pharmaceutical company. While a recruiter will provide an "in" to the interview they may not be able to provide the in-depth coaching to help you to prepare to successfully match what the company is looking for. Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives Capability Response Exercise We will now move on to an interviewing exercise. We would like you to approach this exercise as if you were in an interview. Like all interviews, the first step you will need to do before we go forward with the interview is to send us your resume by fax or email. The next step would be a phone or face to face interview. I have several potential (and actual questions) which have been used in interviews by pharmaceutical firms in the past. They are organized much as a real interviewer may approach an interview. Respond to each question as you think may be appropriate to do so in an interview. Do not try to "out think" this exercise. Remember, if you were in an interview you would not have time to review, edit and rethink your response. Therefore, try to answer each of these questions with your natural response without rewriting or reediting your responses. Write or type your answers after each questions and either email or fax your response back.
