SEO Secrets at a High CostRecently there was quite a stir on the internet over some free videos by Andy Jenkins and Brad Fallon called Going Natural. Going Natural was basically some videos showing about how a couple of websites were pulling in about $16,000. a day by organic search. They also showed scientific studies how pay per click (PPC) ads only gets a fraction of the traffic and clicks received versus sites which appear in the top 3 positions of organic search results. The videos were hyped by many established internet marketers with a combined mailing list of over 940,000 people. Even the Rick Jerk was getting into the action, taking credit for Andy Jenkins and Brad Fallon’s success by claiming that he taught them much of what has made them successful. The video series and hype continued for the entire month of September 2006 with a new free video being released about once a week. This was butterfly marketing at it’s finest! And the cliff hanger was the scheduled opening of a new membership network called StomperNet, where members could learn SEO Secretes (Search Engine Optimization) revealing how among other things to get their site in the coveted top ten position on the big 3 search engines; MSN, Yahoo and Google. But the price.. everone wondered how much this membership would cost? I thought it would probably be something reasonable.. about $97.00 per month. Well, about a day before the grand opening, the price was finally revealed.. a whopping $797 per month! Part of my educational training, which is critical for film production (in fact production of any kind), was storyboarding. The story board covers every last detail of the production to ensure nothing is missed, timing is correct, there is continuity, etc.My training in I.T. Publishing/Web Design/Programming also had one very critical part of the course which was Project Management. Under that umbrella was also storyboarding. What is Website Storyboarding?Basically it is breaking the whole into small manageable pieces. It is not just creating pages, the linking structure, though that is part of it, but also the flow of where you what your visitor to enter, the paths you want them to follow (guide your visitor) to reach an end result. This storyboard will end up telling your story to your visitor both visually and structurally. The first web site I ever created was done totally on paper. Each page of paper represented one page of the site, including headings, content, links and graphic ideas. I had many-many pages of paper. Once I had this completed I took each page and entered it as html. After a bit of tweaking my first web site was created (many moons ago now!).A website storyboard can be created with a layout, a series of boxes, using a word pro IntroductionIn this article we'll take a look at two related practices that are widely used by traders called Backtesting and Dat How to Avoid An IRS AuditThe mere thought of an IRS audit strikes fear into the hearts of the brave and courageous. Taxpayers have reason to fear the IRS inquisition; audits are designed to make believers out of the heathen. The feds have enormous clout and are ready to use it if they think you have been fudging.Understanding the system can help you dodge the audit bullet. An IRS audit is not a notice. The IRS service centers generate millions of notices every year telling taxpayers they have overlooked reporting of some item of income on their return, or other adjustment. The notice will recalculate the tax due and ask for payment or occasionally inform you of a refund. An IRS audit letter will demand you to come into the IRS office or worse yet, inform you of a scheduled visit by an IRS auditor at your place of business. The IRS does not audit a large percentage of tax returns. They don’t have to. They have vast databases of information to identify their targets. You are at a disadvantage dealing with them they know all about you and you shouldn’t count on the IRS missing anything.Audits are normally not blind fishing expeditions; the audit letter will contain a list of items the IRS wants to look at. Frequent items of interest to the IRS are travel and entertainment, auto expense, meals, miscellaneous expenses, underreported income and repairs. Auditors are equipped with an industry specific checklist. that: Contracts-to-hire need to go away. We need to get rid
of them. We need to kill them. They are pass?.Contracts-to-hire were created by companies that wanted to try out an
employee before actually hiring them for work traditionally called
“management” work (vs. “hourly” work) for work performed by college-educated people.Prior to trying this type of hiring method, companies either hired employees
for full-time, permanent work or brought on independent contractors for project
work. People chose which group they wanted to belong to based on their chosen
fields (i.e. some fields are not conducive to independent contracting) and
based on their risk-to-freedom needs (i.e. employment is less risky than
contracting; and contracting has more freedom than employment).During the 1990’s, some independent contractors took full time employment jobs
with their client. Most contractors are placed by contracting firms which find
the project work, find the contractor, and take an hourly fee for the placement.
Once companies started hiring contractors as employees, agreements were written
between the contracting firm and the client stating that if the client hired the
contractor within a certain timeframe, the contracting firm received a certain
percentage of the salary as a recruiter’s fee.Why would the contractor take the full time job? Remember, Brand is who you are to the customer and Package is how you present yourself to the customer. But the third basic building block in any business is People. And that’s all the people, not just the prospects. All the people means:
Customers
Prospects
Employees
Every small business marketing plan must focus on gaining new prospects. This is marketing 101--find fresh sources of revenue to support growth for the company. Unfortunately, most marketers focus 80% or more of their time searching out new business, pay lip-service to customer retention and cross-sells, and completely ignore employees as a marketing resource. This practice of prospect-only focusing is just like injecting an anti-profit toxin into your company’s bloodstream. Most companies live on recurring profits pumping in from existing customers. And who speaks with those customers, day-in and day-out? Your employees. So, why is it then that most small business marketing strategies barely include employees at all?Well, for one thing, who has the time, right? Plus, employees are busy working on their daily tasks, so how in the world can you pull them into your marketing planning?Actually, the key to success in developing customers, prospects, and employees is to focus on that are widely used by traders called Backtesting and Dat How to Sell a Product Online- Sell It Yourself Part IIIf you have a product that you know will sell if you could make it visible to potential customers, you have two basic options. One is to have others sell it for you, and the other is to sell it yourself. Let’s have a look at both. First, the second: sell it yourself. This is the preferred method of internet marketing for many, though ultimately more money is to be made by having others sell you product for you. You can draw a parallel with opening your own shop on the High Street to sell your own product, or selling it to other shops to sell on at a higher price. However, if you want to sell your product yourself, you will need a website. You should find a web host that provides you with a range of features on your site, such as multiple email addresses, autoresponders, software to design and build your own web pages and online forms, a checkout and credit card payment program and, if possible, unlimited subdomains that enable you to have virtual websites for every product that you sell. Looking ahead, you should also have an affiliate management option, so that you can offer affiliate programs to those willing to sell your product for a commission.Once you have your website, there are a number of techniques that you can use to advertise. Just as offline products can be offered using paid adverts, so too can those sold online. You can use pay per click advertising, such as Google Adwords or Yahoo Search Marketing and also pay for ads on ezines and ed Backtesting and Data Mining. How to Run Your Own Internet Empire
Virtual Toolbox. Trying to run a successful online business can be more than just time consuming, it can be financially consuming as well. Wouldn't it be nice to have all of your virtual tools in one toolbox to run your internet empire? For the serious minded netpreneur, certain tools are a must but how to get them affordably without wasting time and valuable resources is a dilemma.
