Unforgettable First Impressions Part 2: It's All About Them!
Jean de la Bruyere said, “The great gift of conversation lies less in displaying it ourselves than in drawing it out of others. He who leaves your company pleased with himself and his own cleverness is perfectly well pleased with you.”Every conversation, interaction and encounter has some kind of emotional effect on both parties:How you feel about yourself How you feel about others How others feel about you How others feel about themselvesIn order to make an UNFORGETTABLE! first impression (not just a good first impression), you must focus on the last of these four effects: how others feel about themselves. The 6 Essential Elements for Flawless First Impressions are part

Professing to be a Solo Professional?
Do you call yourself a solo professional and have you launched your consulting business? Are you sure you are the solo professional that you profess? So many people are not the professionals that they claim to be out there. How can I make such an unprofessional comment you ask?Well first you are right because anytime you yell; The Emperor Wears No Clothes, then you are no longer one of the group. That behavior is so unprofessional indeed. Okay so now I ask you the question; when you hear or see BS in your industry do your bring it to the attention of the Industry, your customers, vendors, network and associates? If you do you are not a professional solo or otherwise, so stop pretending to be a professional
I’m often asked how we go about using web analytics to really pinpoint problems that make the tools worth the investment. Many people are dubious when asked to fork out 50,000 a year to have reports about how people visit their website. What I’m about to describe is a situation where one of our clients could potentially earn $1 Million per year because of the analytics tool they have installed. This article will describe how we used a key performance indicator to raise the problem and then go onto describe how we then found out what the issue was on the clients website.

The Key Performance Indicator or KPI

Ahh the KPI! It’s the latest buzzword flying around in the industry. What key measurements to use is an important point, but much more important is how you use them. Principles and Practice of Advertising - The Law Of Feeling Tone
It is generally true that associations accompanied by pleasantness tend to be reinforced and more permanent, certain, and strong. Associations accompanied by disagreeableness tend on the other hand to be weakened and inhibited, and to disappear more quickly. Thus I teach a dog to beg by saying "Beg, Rover" repeatedly. Sometimes, by mere accident, he will rise upon his hind legs at the moment in which I say these words. At once I reward him by giving him a piece of meat, an apple, or a caress. The agreeableness caused by the reward reinforces this association between hearing the words " Beg, Rover," and the act of begging or standing on the hind legs.Connections not acting at that moment are not thus reinforced. A Seven Letter Word That Helped a 3 Month Marketing 'Newbie' to Online Success
Who would have thought that a three month newbie and marketing dummy with no list, no product, no contacts, can actually make money online? Me neither.I had no idea what to do, how to do or why.Until I gained clarity.Clarity means:1. To know what you want2. To Know why you want it3. Most importantly, to know what you love to do.There are many ways to make money, and it need not necessarily be internet marketing.I might be slapping myself on the cheek for saying so, after all I am using the Internet as a medium and channel for marketing. But I'd rather be honest with you. There's a saying that goes "Do what you love, and you would have retired"Onc

Writing and Revising Your Life Story
Change is not simple. Why do we repeat behavior that doesn't work? Those actions that lead to stifling debt, disappointing careers, or stuck relationships? Then do it harder, yet expect a different result? Why is it not obvious that trying to exit an old story by simply writing a “better ending” only recreates the same story, and ensures that we remain in it? That a thousand better endings to an old story don’t create a new story? That the past cannot be changed and is a settled matter? That too often, we see ourselves as the victims of the stories that we author and the feelings we create? We actively construct what we think, feel, and experience. How surprised we are to learn that our fears are not

    Site Promotion: 101
The subject of site promotion is a key part of online marketing. It does you no good if you build a beautiful site, but no one knows about it.If you are just starting your website you may wish to use some (or all) of the following techniques in your site promotion plan.Press Release – By providing a comprehensive overview of your site launch you may find suitable places in print and especially online where potential customers can read your material, but so can informational sites that have an interest in your products or services and may wish to share the news with their informational consumers.Site Submission – There are many search engines you can submit your site information to. These sites will
e them. One KPI I have written about before is page views per visit. Page views per visit is a KPI I always use regardless of the site goal. The reason being it’s what I refer to as a tripwire metric. Like a tripwire it gives you a warning when something is not right. The way you should use this KPI is to first find out how many pages it takes to complete the desired action. In this case the desired action (a purchase) took 7 pages. Then consider what a good browsing experience might be from your point of view. In this case we figured if the visitor viewed 5-7 pages and then completed a purchase (another 7 pages) it would be a good visit from the businesses point of view. It means that the visitor finds out that more is on offer than simply the product they were looking for. Then we add another 7 pages on top of this to flag a too many pages warning. So we have a bottom limit of 7 pages, a happy medium of 14 pages and a top limit of 21 pages.
