    What is Your Sales Message?
So you built a website, you have a product, but it's not selling. What's your sales message? Does your site scream out to potential customers "BUY ME!!" or does it simply say "Hi, we're here, we have a product, if you want one...well you could buy it here...or go...YUCK!Let's look at a simple

Advertise Your Business, not Your ISP's !
Everywhere I look, I see people who have their email address on their business card, and it's the email address given to them by their ISP (eg; spottedpaints@my_dialup.com). Very often these people will already have their own domain for their web site, but do not use this domain for their emails. We implemented a simple idea at our web store that really helped turn visitors into buyers. Our traffic often lands on a product-specific page because they get to us via a search engine or comparison shopping site. We were showing just one product on the landing page, big mistake. If the user didn't like that product for whatever reason, they clicked away and we lost them. So we thought we should show other products at the bottom of the page like most major sites do. We added "other products you might like" at the bottom of the page and displayed what we thought were popular items, but it didn't really help because the other products were not related to what they came to see. We needed to get more in the head of the consumer and understand their intentions better.

Our challenge is that we have 15,000 products. As such, our categories are really broad. The list of products is too large to actually go through them and develop some type of linking methodology manually. This is probably a common problem.

    Delaware Incorporation – Why Delaware?
Delaware's business friendly government with its modern laws, suitably complemented by the Court of Chancery makes Delaware the ideal place for any business to incorporate. Delaware incorporation is definitely much easier and beneficial for businesses when compared to the other states, because of al

How To Write Effective Sales Letters

The answer turned out to be really simple, but required a little dynamic programming. We actually had all the tools we needed, but had not put them together appropriately. Let me explain.

We already have a search function on our site that worked quite well. You put in keywords and it spit out product suggestions that were relevant. So what we did was this: As the page loads, take the product name from the landing page (which is our best clue as to the consumer's intention), put it into our search engine dynamically (as if the user had searched on that very product) and then display the search output under the product they came to see on the landing page.... THERE YOU HAVE IT. The "see other products" at the bottom of the page are now VERY relevant to what they came to see. If they clicked on a specific Cannon
