Casual Articles - What Brand Consistency Can Do For Your Business, and Why You Should Care
New Requirement for NSAs - Background CheckMore and more, we, as a nation, are becoming ultra-concerned and extremely protective of personal data and personal information. Identity theft, depending on who you believe, is either running rampant in our country or not as prevalent as we have been led to believe. Still the “powers that be“ appear to be pushing for getting a handle on verifying the identity of all Notary Signing Agents. Some will see this as progress, while others tend to view it as a continuation of the Big Brother Syndrome. In any event, for those who haven’t been updated, here’s what is transpiring now. Some lending institutions, banks, title companies and signing agencies are requesting that some of their “employees’ and “service personnel“ involved in the lending process undergo background sc /li> The company jumps from one designer to another, which can cause rifts in their brand consistency Advertising agencies would like you to believe that you have to keep your advertising, your marketing message and your image up-to-date, fresh and always looking different, “Never run the same ad twice”. Bogus. Did you know tha Illegal Aliens Welding and Fabrication JobsWhen someone comes over the border and is looking for a job, often they go to light manufacturing non-union areas to find work and of course there is always lots to do. Many light fabrication businesses hire the illegal aliens. I have noticed this in Houston, San Antonio, Baton Rouge, El Paso, Phoenix, LA, Memphis, Chicago, Sacramento, San Diego, Miami, Jacksonville and Atlanta. Actually other places too, but this is what comes to mind. I would like to discuss the trailer welding jobs done by illegal aliens in TX, I understand the need to by pass the OSHA laws, with regards to welding and the high costs of workmen’s compensation, but if we are not going to follow the laws, shouldn’t we revise them or change them? I spend a lot of time trying to get laws changed especially som Have you ever noticed that all of the Old Navy commercials on television all have the same look and feel? How about the mailers that you receive from Staples, Office Max or Best Buy? They’ll feature different products each week, but have you ever noticed how consistent their look is from week to week? Is this an accident or just a company being cheap? Neither.
Big companies know the power of establishing a consistent, recognizable brand image. Now you probably don’t have a business the same size of a Best Buy – doesn’t matter, you’ll still reap the benefits of keeping your business image and brand consistent. Whether it’s a television commercial, web blog, direct mail campaign, etc., there are inherent benefits in keeping your business image consistent. I’ve found four main hurdles that typically keep a company from keeping a brand consistent:
The company isn’t comfortable or confident in the brand – they might not like itThe company elected to buy a quick, inexpensive brand with the idea of adding on later. Instead of making the initial investment in a professional brand, the company is in constant update mode. The company is attempting to create the brand from in-house people (perhaps the owner her/himself or an inexperienced designer), who haven’t studied how to create a strong, consistent business brand The company jumps from one designer to another, which can cause rifts in their brand consistency Advertising agencies would like you to believe that you have to keep your advertising, your marketing message and your image up-to-date, fresh and always looking different, “Never run the same ad twice”. Bogus. Did you know that Pump Maintenance and Repair for Pressure WashersIf you have a pressure washer business you will eventually need to change out or repair the pump. There are a few things you should know to make such change outs easy. You may also need to study up on preventative maintenance so that you do not have to worry about pump failure. Your pressure washer probably has one of two different pumps if it is industrial grade. Either a Cat Pump or a General pump; both are industry standards. General is the leader in the industry for sales and many prefer Cat as it sucks better from plastic water tanks.Your pump is powered by two parallel belts connected to your engine. You should make sure not to starve your pump from water. When the water tank is empty turn off the engine. Starving a pump will burn it out in about thirty-five m Neither.

If you are selling Clown services, then use all the gimmicks you can find. If you are a serious accountant, then the gimmicks should go or at least be downplayed. By gimmicks, I mean the one liners that follow you company name and logo. For example I saw a sign outside a pet store that was trying to sell pet spiders. They had to find a way to get people interested and therefore came up with a gimmick to get attention. Their sign read, Divorces $5000, Tarantula's $19.95. It certainly caught everyone's attention but in the long run they did not sell too many spiders. I wonder if they sold any divorces? The point is, the gimmick attrated paign, etc., there are inherent benefits in keeping your business image consistent. Are you constantly working in a mess? The Small Business OwnerThese people tend to be involved in every aspect of their business from being the bookkeeper, marketer, human resources manager, mediator, customer liaison officer and cleaner. The smaller the business the harder it is for the owner to delegate these functions because they dislike spending any money and, in fairness, the dollars can be much tighter. However, many fail to realize that if they invest their dollars wisely in accessing the right type of goods and services to grow their business and be more effective, they will see positive changes occur over time. They can become more productive and profitable a of adding on later. Instead of making the initial investment in a professional brand, the company is in constant update mode. a problem situation. I rather handle it early, before a
full blown crisis. It is less stressful plus customers prefer smooth
running projects.A client sent me a certain type of bond paper to use for

Bogus. Did you know that it often takes your ad or marketing material at least 3 views or impressions by a prospect before she/he even pays attention to it? So you don’t need to radically change your advertising every time you run an ad. Admittedly, there are clear-cut instances that require you need to change things up, but businesses as a whole have often been duped into thinking that they have to change their marketing, advertising and brand image almost as much as they change their pants. Not true.
So how can you capitalize on this? You first need a good brand – hire a professional to do this for you. A unique effective business brand is the catalysis that starts everything off. Make sure all of your marketing is capitalizing on your brand, and that you’re establishing a consistent and cohesive business image. An experienced marketer/designer can do this for you. Once you’ve invested in and established a unique, professional business brand that’s working for you, here are the benefits you can expect to reap (this is what having a consistent brand can do for you): You’ll receive your future projects much faster. The initial design always takes the longest. You should be amazed at how fast a designer can turn your projects around if she/he has designed a professional brand image for you. It’s more cost effective. The designer won’t have to reinvent the wheel in coming up with a totally new look and
