This means that the website that you plan to link to has two homepages, one specially designed for the visitor and one for the search engines, the one for the search engines is just usaully a keyword repeated over and over!
Doorway Pages
This ones also like cloaking, simply filling the homepage with keywords that would make no sense to a human visitor, and redirect them to a new page, this is definitly not a good idea!
Hidden Text
Also involves stuffing a page full of keywords, and colouring them the same colour as the background. Usaully white.

Also called Free for all, a site that has a page full of links sorely for the purpose of getting a high page rank.

Excessive links
Having more then 100 links on every page, won't get you banned but it may result in you getting a lower PR.
