    Step 3 – find free article submission sites listed on Google. Article writing is only slightly more challenging than writing for press releases. Press releases may allow a little self promotion, under the banner of “news”, but article sites usually do not allow it. An article reads more like the encyclopedia, but it doesn’t have to be pedantic. It can read like a general interest story. The rules must be respected here, which vary from one article site to another.

    There is usually an approval process which can take from a few days, to a week or more. Don’t worry, if you make a mistake, the worst that can happen is that your article will be delayed from publication on the Internet. You will have an opportunity to correct it, and learn from whatever went wrong.

    Press releases tend to be like the proverbial hare in the tortoise and the hare story. They jump out relatively quickly in Google positions, but articles tend to stick around for the long haul, (like the tortoise), on Google. Both approaches should be a part of any sound SEO Strategy.
