As a business coach I work with a wide variety of people. My clients come from diverse backgrounds, have a multitude of talents, operate in a broad range of business models, and talk about their successes very differently. It is from these distinctions that powerful strategies are born. The reasons that professionals choose to work with a business coach stem from an assorted array of issues that include: a lack of happiness at work, a frustration in trying to motivate others, and a struggle to attract new business. While individual and organizational challenges

    Turkey - 7th Heaven
Turkey EconomyTurkey's dynamic economy is a complex mix of modern industry and commerce, along with a traditional agriculture sector that still accounts for more than 35 per cent of employment. It has a strong and rapidly growing private sector, yet the state still plays a major role in basic industry, banking, transport and communication. The largest industrial sector is textiles and clothing, which accounts for one third of industrial employment. It faces stiff competition in international markets with the end of the global quota system. However, other sector
“Once Upon a Cubicle there was a man who wanted out
He knew he couldn’t stay here but still was filled with doubt
The thought of no weekly paycheck turned his smile into a pout
But ‘A business startup is my heaven’ was all that he could shout!”

Funny doggerel, you’d say, but this is the kind of dilemma so many men and women go through every day. The dream of being your own boss and living a more wholesome life versus the loss of security of a paycheck is a huge battle. But free sticky notes or the lack of it is keeping fewer and fewer dreamers in jobs that don’t rock their socks any more.

The reasons people cite for quitting mainstream, regular jobs and turning to entrepreneurship are wide and varied. Some want to chase a dream, some want to spend more time with family and some are looking for creative satisfaction. Whatever the motivation may be, most entrepreneurs I meet agree on one thing – starting out on their own has given them more satisfaction- personal and professional, than any other job they’ve ever had.

There is the satisfaction of being appreciated, of utilizing one’s skills, ideas and capabilities to one’s direct advantage and having a well-rounded life. That is why starting your own business is a liberating and exciting challenge. More than making pots of money, it is about finding your place under the sun, making your mark doing what you like to do and are good at.

If you are the guy in my limerick and looking for a reason to cut loose from the cubicle, here are 10 reasons to do it:

    1. You Would Love Your Work– When you get into business for yourself you most likely choose something you are passionate about and are good at. This mixture of proficiency and passion is what makes it worthwhile.

    2. There Is No Retirement: A businessman never has to retire from the job. You like your work and are enthusiastic about it and that makes it possible for you to go on till you feel the time is right to call it a day. You get to decide when to quit, not HR or the boss.

    3. You’d Be Your Own Boss: Seriously, this one doesn’t even need an explanation! You can set targets for yourself and chart out your own course. You get to decide whether you want to spend the most productive hours of your day working on a new sales campaign or go to a meeting where most people are looking somber and secretly doodling on their writing pads.

    4. You Learn More: When you are the CEO, the janitor, the accountant, copy writer and the customer support team (plus a whole lot of other things like the official coffee maker and the receptionist) learning is inevitable and the learning curve much steeper.

    5. You Will Be Creating Wealth: Creation of wealth is the hallmark of a business - for yourself and for other people. If you look closely you will find that the world’s richest people were either born rich or built their riches through a business idea that they had the guts to take forward and sustain.

    6. You Will Be More Satisfied: There is no instant gratification anywhere in the world, in any activity! Being in business is a deeper, longer-lasting satisfaction than being a part of the 6.00 pm back-to-home commuter crowd. The challenges, the rewards and the learning a start-up business offers is far more gratifying.

Tie Tacks - Keeping Suits Nifty One Necktie at a Time
Italian pinstripe designer suits, a button-down collar, and French cuffs do not a complete outfit make. They need something more, and this something is called a tie tack. A necktie without a tie tack is like potato chips without potatoes. The tie tack improves not only the outfit's form, but also its function. Tale of the Tie Tack Simply put, a tie tack is a short pin with an embellished head. Chains or snaps connect the tack to shirts. Three types of tie tacks exist. The tie bar clips a necktie to a shirt's fold. On the other hand, the tie pin con
