    Authentic Communication: Dealing With Moose-on-the-Table
Imagine a team meeting around a conference-room table. They are reviewing progress and making plans. Charts are reviewed, slides are projected, documents are handed out, and calculations are made. Now imagine that standing in the middle of the conference-room table is a great big moose. No one says a word about the moose. Everyone carries on polite and earnest conversation as if this situation is very normal. Meanwhile the moose is eating papers at one end of the table while plopping out moose pies at the other end of the table splattering a few participants' business suits. Team members are passing papers around

Sales Training Tip #33; Asking for the Order Too Early in the Sales Process
Sales Trainers and their sales managers need to make sure that their sales force and their sales people understand the selling process. All too often sales trainers and managers of companies will have sales goals and deadlines for their sales force. Sometimes these sales deadlines are brought forth by upper executive management in the company to further foster shareholder's growth in quarterly income to the company.Unfortunately, this sometimes adds problems when sales managers push salespeople too hard and the salespeople who are very competitive work extremely hard to close deals which are not to ready to be
There comes a time for most people where their business reaches a plateau.

It's normally when so much of your time is taken running your business that you don't have enough time to work on expanding it and taking it to the next level. This also means your earnings/profits also get stuck at a certain level.

This is when you need to look at your business and work out what processes and tasks you can outsource. If you don't do this, you won't be able to take your business to the next "level".

Whether it's answering email, support, research, site building or article writing, there will be something that you can outsource.

It can be a bit of a leap the first time you do it, I know for me it was a bit of a rench because it seemed like I was letting go of some level of control of my business. I only realised after I'd done it that it was actually the reverse, I was stopping the company from controlling me, and in doing so freeing up my time for more profitable things.

If you are like me, then once you realise this you will start to look for what else you can outsource..

The first task I outsourced was submitting my sites to directories for free one way inbound links to help those site rank better. It is such a boring tedious task that I was spending very little time doing it, so little in fact that I might as well not have been doing it.

I placed a job description on RentaCoder and within a few days had 20+ people bidding on the job, varying from around $2 per hour to over $5 an hour for the work. Some people even had lists of directories that they could supply as they had previously done similar work for other clients.

I ended up choosing a company who do the work for $3 and hour and can cope with as much work as I give them. I now have around 50-60 sites being submitted to my list of directories every 4-6 weeks and all I have to do is prepare the list of site to be submitted.

I also have a couple of people writing articles for me so that I can have unique content for some of my sites.

I am planning on outsourcing a couple of other aspects of my business shortly as well, including site building with one of the site generation tools I use, so that I can have someone else building sites for me. This of course means that my business will continue to grow even while I am away on holiday with my family.

Perhaps you're starting to get the idea of how important it is to outsource things as soon as you can. If a task is becoming mundane, monotonous or time consuming, it's time to wrtie down how you do the task and use it as a training guide for someone else to do the work..

What kind of things should you outsource?

    1. Directory submissions.

Make sure you set up a separate gmail, yahoo or hotmail account for the submission reply emails to go to and check that the work has been done.

Make a list of domains that you want submitted and get them all done so that the new links appear over a coupe of months, rather than all in one go, this looks more natural to the search engines.

    2. Get articles written. Make sure the articles you get written are good quality.

If you are getting them written for submitting to article directories then better quality articles get used more and therefore you will get better more/better links.

If you are using them for your own unique content sites, then you want to offer your visitors good quality information to encourage them to visit again and to sign up for your newsletter.

You should aim for at least 500 words and a keyword density of around 2%, this should cost between $5-10 per article, depending on the quality.

    Problems When Importing from China
The prospect of importing goods from China is both exciting and terrifying for many sellers. On one hand there is huge potential for making money from reselling wholesale goods purchased very cheaply. But on the other hand, language and cultural barriers present a number of difficulties to sellers. The main issue that everyone is worried about is payment: How do I pay? Will my money disappear?, and so on.The difficulty lies in the fact that most Chinese wholesalers will only accept Western Union and wire transfer payments. These are not secure payment options so they must be treated with caution. However,

    Buy Business Mailing Lists
Business mailing lists considerably increase the power of a company’s marketing campaign. Many companies buy mailing lists to help bolster their advertising. These lists target consumers by demographic lifestyles and purchase behavior, and target businesses by standard industrial classification (SIC) code, sales volume or size.Mailing list brokers or vendors like MartinWorldWide.net, VendorSeek.com, AllMedia Inc.com, ListShopper.com, InfoUSA.com and GuaranteedLists.com rent or sell their mailing lists to advertisers. In most cases, the mailing lists put on sale are actually rented from the owners. This rent tran

    Hispanic Small Business Advantage
One thing I have noticed in my travels to different markets is that Hispanic Small Business Owners have a very distinct advantage. They are friendly and very involved in their communities. Hispanic Business Men and Women are very socially active and if you look at their incredible unity, there is nothing slowing down this Hispanic Middle class from becoming upper classmen. They are incredible relationship builders and smart and savvy business people. Just look at the number of organizations propelling their simultaneous hard work ethics:http://w

Marketing-Minded Financial Planners, It's Not Who You Know But What You Know
Almost every day, I hear the same question, over and over, from motivated, well-meaning financial planners who want to use publicity in their marketing mix. It goes something like this:“Who do you know in the media? (Or, sometimes they frame it as, “Who do I need to know in the media?”) Can you get me publicity?”My answer is always the same. Who you know in the media is only half the game. And it’s the easier half.I'm a former newspaper reporter, and am on a first name basis with plenty of newspaper reporters. And here’s what you get from knowing someone in the media:It gets them to take you
