The Most Powerful Persuasion Skill You'll Ever Learn
Criteria ElicitationThis is without a doubt the most important persuasion skill that you can learn. If you’ll learn to apply this to every situation in which you find yourself you’ll be amazed at the positive results! Many of the hypnotic skills I’ll be sharing with you have a parallel in old sales training techniques. This one is no exception! Lets say that you are needing to convince someone to do something, accept something, or behave in a certain way. You will need to communicate with their powerful subconscious to get your desired agreement. Once a person’s subconscious “buys in” to what you are proposing they will just naturally seem to come over to your way of thinking. The question then becomes “how do I get my message to the person’s subconscious?” Here’s your answer-elicit their true criteria. Simply put, ask. Try this one SALESMAN John what’s important to you when shopping for a new car? JOHN Well I like to know that the person I’m dealing with is honest.” SALESMAN Yes honesty is the best policy. What else is valuable to you when you are making the decision about a car? JOHN I like to know the car has a high reliability rating from Consumer Reports SALESMAN an unreliable car is not an acceptable situation.

The Importance of Building a List Using the Power of eBay
Just two or three years ago, eBay was an absolute goldmine when it came to selling eBooks. It wasn't hard to find a few eBooks and resell them for $10, $20 or even up to $50. But now everything has changed. It's virtually impossible now to find an eBook on the internet and resell it on eBay for the prices stated above. Sure, you can sell them for $1, maybe $2 but with eBay's ever increasing rising of sellers' fees, there's little profit to be made doing that.Competition on eBay is fierce and it shows no sign of letting up. Selling higher priced eBooks is no longer an option (unless you write them yourself) and eBay should now be used as a 'stepping stone' for other online business ventures. What do I mean by stepping stone? While the eBay market place may be more competitive than ever, there are also more buyers than ever before. The only problem is, these buyers are looking for cheap and free eBooks and that's what you need to provide. Once they've bought these niche eBooks for $1 or $2, you hit them with the following steps so that you can squeeze more money from them initially and also turn them into a customer for life who constanly pumps cash into your bank account. What you need to do is...<
My SEO firm has been spending a good deal of time analyzing conversion and usability aspects for our clients over the past year. While there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of things that can be changed to help improve conversion rates, we've created a short list of things that are both quick and easy to change or add to your site. These are in no particular order.

    1. Blue and underlined links
I almost made each of these their own item but decided to combine them into one because both can be fixed with a simple CSS change. Let's attack the underlining first.

There are many ways to make your links stand out, you can bold them, italicize them, make them bigger or change color, etc. But none of these changes will intuitively let your visitors know they are looking at a link. That's why underlining your links is so important. Underlined text on a web page is the universal sign of a hyperlink to another page or area of the site. This is also why you should not underline any text other than links, it causes confusion!

While most people want websites that stand out, there are still things that we all must do in order to ensure our audience isn't confused. In other words, we have to conform to what are typical web development practices. If we don’t we lose our ability to communicate to our audience. Underlining links creates clarity making navigating from page to page easier for your audience. If it's underlined, they know it's a link.

As for the blue; again this goes back to perceptions. From the early days of the web all hyperlinks were blue by default. Only later did we begin to style the links in various colors to fit with our site themes. When visitors see blue underlined text, they instinctively know it’s a clickable link. If your link is a different color they may not be so sure or may have to test it to be sure. What you want to accomplish is making your site’s navigation as though-free as possible. You want to drive the audience easily without making them think about how to get from page to page.

Of these two rules the underlining is the most important. Because many sites have begun using CSS to change the colors of their links users are getting more used to links not always being blue. But if you can make them blue then do it. If you absolutely can't work in the color blue with your scheme, that's OK, but you absolutely need those links underlined.

    2. Custom 404-redirect
Have you ever navigated to a site or were clicking links within a site and were brought to a white screen with black text telling you the page can't be found? What's your first response. For most, they would simply to move on and find another site to go to. You can prevent many of those exits simply by customizing your 404 page. Take a look at this one here. How To Triple Your Sales & Profits With A Powerful Follow-Up System
No matter what you sell... products, services, or causes... one of the key ingredients to your success will be the attention you give your sales lead follow-up system.Notice that I used the word 'system' to describe your follow-up program. It's an important conceptual word. If you do not have a well planned, step-by-step system for lead follow-up you are leaving a lot of profits sitting on the table. It is widely accepted that it takes a minimum of five attempts to close a sale (any sale) before the customer has enough information and confidence to buy from you. My own experience, based on years of in-the-trenches experience suggests that the minimum number of timed follow-ups is anywhere from nine to thirty... depending the complexity and/or cost of your products or services. If your idea of follow-up is to bounce one autoresponder message back to your on-line inquiry and expect the cash register to ring, you are in for a shocking surprise. You have heard often, and will continue to hear, that internet marketing is based on the building of relationships with your potential customers. It's true! Indeed, this is one of the true Power Principles of internet marketing. One of the great benefits of the inte

Affiliate Marketing Without A Website Or Opt-In List - How To Succeed
When you spend hours, days, months reading about affiliate marketing the one thing that always hits you is how people insist that to succeed you must have a successful traffic generating website or profitable opt-in list. Great, so where does that leave the affiliate newbie who might not have even heard of opt-in lists until very recently? Actually, in a surprisingly good position.Despite what many would have you believe there are actually some pretty good tools and resources out there that allow a beginner affiliate to score some pretty significant success very quickly. I am a school teacher and until six months ago I had never heard of affiliate marketing. I certainly didn’t have a website or an opt-in list. So according to the ‘experts’ I wouldn’t have been able to register any meaningful success as an affiliate. Wrong! I actually registered my first commission within 4 hours of starting out, not bad going since I was constantly reading how difficult it would be without an opt-in email list.As an affiliate beginner the absolute key to success is to get advice from the right places. And by right places I mean from those who have actually succeeded at what they are talking about. The first piece of advice

    The Truth About Business Grants!
Business grants are surrounded by many popular misconceptions and myths. This is an attempt to put the record straight, and give you the knowledge required to successfully apply for your share of the free money everyone is talking about.Myth #1: Everyone can apply for a business grant. The reality is, that yes, you can apply, but chances are that your application will be rejected; unless… That’s where the proverbial Pandora box opens. There are so many rules, laws and regulations governing business grants that only experienced professionals should attempt to tackle them… and hope for a win. Yes, there is a promise of help, given by the grants’ administrators. But, it is usually limited to the “across the reception counter” conversation with the receptionist at the worst, or with some overworked clerk from the back office, at the best. Consequently, the quality of this free information leaves lots to be desired, and unless your business idea looks very promising, you have no chance to succeed. Realize, that business grants are a highly specialized field, and an amateurish attempt will end in a huge disappointment, wasted time, and a possible loss of money paid to incompetent “do-it-yourself” helpers. Besides, it make

Ten Secrets of Successful Sample Sessions
Sample sessions are an excellent way to enroll clients. When a prospect experiences first hand the benefits of your coaching, they are more likely to hire you. And the session allows you both to assess fit, which is essential to your overall coaching success and theirs.Potentially, the sample session not only brings you another ideal client but it also sets the tone of the ongoing work you’ll do together and establishes a healthy co-creative relationship.Make It Worth Your WhileEvery sample session you do takes up valuable time. Think of it this way, if you charge $450 for three hour long sessions each month, an hour of your time is worth $150. Your free sample session is a tremendous gift! Make it worthwhile for both your potential client and you by setting every sample session up for success.Favorite MistakesCan you relate to any of this? These are the mistakes I used to make around sample sessions:- I offered sample sessions casually to anyone.- I didn’t clearly articulate the benefits of my coaching services.- I waited until the end of the session to share my fees and terms.- I didn’t tell the prospect the purpose of the session.- I desperately p

The difference between a custom 404 page and the white page not found screen is like this: Say you’re in a large store and you can’t find a particular item. You find an employee to ask. The generic page-not-found employee would simply say “I’m not sure, sorry, I can’t help you,” and then returns to his business. T custom 404 employee would tell you “I know just where that is, follow me and I’ll show you.” It’s a big difference.

Broken links are (or should be) rare, but they do happen, especially coming from external sites. While you have full control over internal links (more on this later) with external links to your site you have little, or no, control over. This makes it even more important to implement a custom 404 page. This is your best option to not lose that traffic that comes from an old or outdated link.

    3. Links in body content
I once have a version of my site where almost 100% of my internal links were via the navigation panes. It's always smart to have good navigation in your site, but this should not be your only source of linking to important pages. In fact, your body content should be littered with links to various pages of your site.

If you talk about your team, link to your about us page. If you talk about your successes, link to your testimonials. If you talk about your services or specific products, link to them as well. The web is an interactive place and visitors want to click as they read something that interests them. If you rely solely on navigation links you are forcing your visitors to have to think about where they want to go next. Don't leave it up to them, tell them where they should go, give them various options, and provide the links so they can go there now.

    4. Visible phone number
There are still a number of web users out there who prefer traditional forms of communication like the phone. While the web is interactive, it can often seem less personal. Especially if you don't know how long it will take for an email to get answered. When I want answers, I want them now. Placing your phone number visibly on your pages sends the message that you are available for your customers. They may not need to call you, but just knowing they can gives visitors that extra bit of confidence in your business.

    5. Fix typos and grammatical errors
Nothing says amateur more than constant spelling and grammatical errors. Your words are a representation of who you are and how well your company will be able to fulfill the needs of your visitors. If your website has an overwhelming number of spelling
