How To Be Sure Your Internet Advertising Campaign Is Getting Results
Here’s my favorite thing about marketing on the internet… the ability to generate INSTANT feedback on the effectiveness of my advertising. If I wanted to do advertising using traditional methods, I’d need to spend thousands of dollars printing & mailing advertising that may or may not be effective. I won’t know until weeks later, after the sales start to roll in. (Or worse, after they DON’T roll in!) Not so with the internet. You can know in a matter of hours, not weeks, whether your inter

A Clear Business Card Design I
When designing a business card, it's essential that it's clear, concise and right to the point.Of the factors that make an effective business card, the least exciting one--clarity. However, it's also the most fundamental of the factors. To see why, imagine this case. An architecture firm designs a business card for their services, and does a good job of making cards available to ideal contacts. One such contact--a wealthy person in search of a new home, for example--gets a copy of the busi

Don't Know What Motivates You? Think Back to When You Were a Kid

    Hello Again!

IN my past articles I have written about what motivates (the innate gifts he has) a person and how the roots of that motivation can be traced back to your childhood. I pray that this article injected a bit of excitement in some of you in searching for what you want to do when you grow up; whether you are 18, 23, 25, 30 or+.

The second article followed up with learning how to search for that perfect career for you by examining that career and verifying that you will be utilizing the major gifts that motivate you. If you do not see them in the future career you are looking at don't make a mistake of becoming the square peg in the round hole. Move on in your search.

At this time, I want to continue on in writing about your gifts. Each of us has those God-given (yes, I said God again) gifts or talents since we were in our mommy's womb. They developed after birth and continue growing as we age. I am not certain that they ever stop growing. I tend to believe that they lie dormant until something that draws the gift or talent out of us and we then have an AHA moment.

I am certain that you have heard the phrase "it fits him/her (being fair to the ladies) to a tee". When you can apply that phrase to a person in a career, doing a job, playing a sport, or even performing well in an academic class, it means that he is utilizing his talents to the fullest and he is most satisfied. Direct Mail – Not What it Used to Be
The number of businesses using direct mail marketing now compared to how many used this medium 10 to 15 years ago is staggeringly higher. More and more marketers understand its effectiveness and are on the bandwagon - especially Mortgage Brokers.Years back the novelty of receiving an advertisement in your mailbox was such that any direct mail pieces were not only looked at but mulled over. Not so anymore. The term ‘junk mail’ was coined sometime since then and I’m sure you’ve thrown out your fair s

How to Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
Having been in business a number of years, I’m amazed at the number of people who don’t have the slightest idea of what customer service is. Customer service is not a way of doing things – it’s an attitude.I always love it when company’s send their people to seminars to learn about customer service. All the seminars will discuss the customer’s needs and expectations and the orator will package these ideas as new and cutting edge when in fact these very ideas were in practice over 30 years ago!

    A Moment of Clarity
“That product will convert much better if you raise the price to $27. Also, I would drop the screenshot that illustrates how the price point will go up over time. I see what you’re going for with that, but it will actually hurt your sales instead of encouraging your visitors to buy.”Mike Filsaime and I were sitting in a pair of comfortable arm chairs in the hotel lobby. We had been casually chatting for the past twenty minutes, and I had scratched out a full page of notes already.Plus, I ha

Will Promotional Materials REALLY Increase Your Sales?

When you can apply that phrase to a person in a career, doing a job, playing a sport, or even performing well in an academic class, it means that he is utilizing his talents to the fullest and he is most satisfied. Now that doesn't necessarily mean that he is the best among his peers or competitors but it does mean that he has a much better chance at being successful in what he is doing. Only hard work and God's providence will make him the best. "When we function according to our giftedness, the work (whatever it is) almost doesn't seem like work-it's more like fun. Incredible revenues of energy are released."

Gifts or giftedness used here is not used in the sense of school smarts although he/she may be using them in their schools successes. In schools gifted frequently means that the student(s) have more abilities and aptitude that his/her peers and, therefore he/she is placed in a gifted program. But that is NOT what we are speaking of here. Secondly, giftedness, gifts, or talents are not traits that many assessment models claim to identify. Lastly, these gifts that you have are your and cannot be acquired by another unless they have them innately like you. These gifts were given to you. You did not have to work to obtain them and very little work to develop them.

To conclude, I would like to give you a personal family example. My son Michael, now 29 years of age had a difficult four years of high school. Not because he was not bright nor because he was disinterested. Asthma caused him to miss many days of school and when he was in school, it was difficult for him to concentrate. However, he played lead trumpet in the school's award winning marching and concert band. He loved art and could dra
