E-books and other information products have taken the Internet by storm. This is not a new phenomenon, rather an ongoing wonder. It has been round for years, but due to a lot of exposure, this has grown over the last few years.

According to certain statistics, the biggest selling item on the Internet is e-books. More then anything else, it appears to be books that concentrate on the How to aspect of things.

But, the question in my mind has always been, are they worth their money, and these so called Gurus who write them, are they real Gurus?

According to the Collins Dictionary a Guru is a leader or advisor of a person or a group of people. So does this make these e-book authors Gurus? Well, I suppose it does, if we turn to them for advice assuming they know more then us on the subject, then, yes, they are Gurus.

So, can they be trusted or are they just self proclaimed Gurus looking to make a killing off the innocent people out there looking for advice and guidance? In most cases, they are honest people wanting to share their knowledge with the ordinary folk, to help them progress and realise their dreams.

Some, on the other hand are not so honest, have no idea what they are talking about and are out there to rip you off. The good news is that these bad Gurus don’t last very long. As you know bad news travels faster then good news. So the rip off artists soon loose all credibility on the internet. They may have done well when they first launched their rubbish, but it is short lived.

So, how do you know if the e-book you have bought is worth its money? Personally, I think this varies from person to person. It involves the cutting of shapes from plastic sheets using a shaped knife and pressing the edge into one or more layers of sheeting. After completing the cutting, a certain pressure is applied using mechanic

Please Sir, I Want Some More ... Public Domain Material
Charles Dickens is said to be the world's most prolific novelist, yet most of his works are relatively unknown to the general public, especially those he wrote under the pen name Boz. I have over 200 e-books, I suppose I’m an e-book junkie and if I followed my own advice, I probably would have less, but worth a lot more. Don’t get me wrong, the majority of the e-books I have are worth the money, however, I have a few that are absolute rubbish. Pie in the sky ideas on how to make money, supposedly proven and tested, yeah right, maybe on a different planet. But you live and learn. Now a day I don’t buy any information product unless I have done my research, it doesn’t take long. But it can make the difference between spending your hard earned money on something that will gather dust or something that will make you dreams come true.

So the bottom line is, yes, e-books can be what they are made out to be, but only if you buy the right book. Do your research first and ask questions.
