What Roles Should You Play in Your Business?
Michael Gerber, in his book the e-Myth, talks about the importance of working ON your business, rather than IN your business. In one case you're doing the planning, creating the vision, leading your organization (regardless of the size). In the other, you're doing the actual work of the business - the details. As entrepreneurs our tendency is to take on all the detailed work in our business.

An Overview of SBA Borrowings For Small Businesses
What Is SBA?With a portfolio of more than $45 billion, the Small Business Administration, or SBA, is the main source of getting funds for businesses through direct grants and loan guarantees. SBA borrowings for small businesses have become a major source of financing, whether those businesses need money for the start up of the business or for the expansion of their existing businesses.<
I have one theory as to the popularity of Myspace. I believe the chief attraction is the user-friendly method in which ordinary folks can enjoy the thrill of becoming a graphic designer (when it comes to putting their profile together). Even my parents could probably figure out how to make a snazzy background and splash it up with some glitter graphics. A website designer would need to at least learn a little bit about html coding, whereas a complete newbie can probably design a Myspace profile that would compete with the best of them.

This is largely due to the existence of free Myspace resource sites. These are all over the web; just Google something like “Myspace graphics” and you will have pages of them to choose from. What these Myspace resource sites typically provide are graphics for designing profiles, presented in an easy “copy and paste” format. (The better ones provide simple instructions for those of us who have no idea what “code” even refers to.)

OK, so you want to see what all the fuss is about and give Myspace a test drive. The first thing you need to do is open an account. To do this you need to provide an email account and choose a password. That’s it, you’re in the door.

Demand for Internal Audit Jobs Still Rising
According to Accountancy Magazine, investment banks, asset management firms and government agencies are hiring recently qualified graduates in high numbers, thanks to a shortage of qualified candidates for audit jobs. In fact, a July survey by the Association of Graduate Recruiters showed that the vacancy rate for internal audit jobs is at its highest since 1995, and audit recruitment firms are sc

Computer Science Career - Where It's Cool to be a Computer Geek!
The tide has turned and the lines have all but faded. These are the days when all the Geeks are cool, and even the burnouts or jocks are actually computer geeks themselves. In fact many will go on to pursue a Computer Science Career and be not only cool, but probably wealthy as well. So, how did this shift happen? I guess no matter who we blame, no matter how rich Bill Gates is, an

How to Know What You Know (2)
Do you know what you know? You especially need knowledge management in high changing environments; if all remains the same, why should we think about the knowledge we need? Knowledge management is an iterative process of making tacit knowledge explicit and visa versa. But why would you make implicit knowledge explicit?Knowing something without knowing it is very useful. You can just trust o

Five Ways to Be More Generous Through Your Business
One of the themes for my New Year's resolutions from last year was to become more generous. I was motivated by wanting to break a general feeling of entrepreneurial financial anxiety, as well as to begin fulfilling a childhood dream of becoming "a philanthropist." (Big word for a little kid, but I was precocious.) Well, after reviewing my year, I can say that I really did make big progress.
need to do is open an account. To do this you need to provide an email account and choose a password. That’s it, you’re in the door.

The next thing you should do is upload a picture of yourself. It doesn’t have to be your latest photo; your high school senior picture will do just fine. Or a picture of anything you want. I saw one of Jack in the Box once. (I wonder if that was really Jack?)

Now you can move forward to your empty, “blank” profile. Choose “edit profile” and you will be taken to the main profile editing screen. Here you can tell the world about yourself. More importantly, this is where you can paste the html codes that you copied from a resource site to customize the look of your profile. To get the best effects, you should combine a background with a “layout generator,” or just go with a complete ready-made layout. The general consensus is that your background and/or layout graphics codes should be pasted into your “about me” section, after whatever text you want to type in that is “about you.”

But any of these fields will take html code and display the intended image. So you can paste photos, images, animated gifs, and the like into any of these sections. For example, you can paste an animated gif image of superman flying in the “Heros” field. The only other section you really need to mess with is the “bas
