    Reviving Your Resume
A resume may not be who you are, but to a potential employer, it may be all they see of you and make or break your chance for your next interview. While many of us either spend long hours crafting the perfect resume (or pay someone else big bucks to do it for you)

The Early Bird Gets The Worm-And Nothing Else!
It’s Sunday night, and for some reason my thoughts are turning to my dearly departed dad, who becomes more of an inspiration with each passing year.He was a career salesperson, and he also ran radio stations and produced TV, and he was, like many who sell,
During my years as a freelance writer, one thing I've seen consistently is that most writers -- even talented writers -- have a hard time finding jobs. It's why job bidding sites are so popular, because even though the jobs are bid down to ridiculous rates, writers often find themselves without other options for landing jobs.

It's not that the work isn't out there. It's that writers ... well, they like to write. So marketing isn't usually their forte. As a result, they're often willing to even pay a hefty finder's fee to anyone who passes them jobs. (I have generally charged a 10% finder's fee when sending jobs to writers, but I have seen writers willing to pay up to a whopping 50%.)

The irony to this, in my opinion, is that search engines are absolute suckers for fresh, genuine content. And who better to generate content -- and thus search engine traffic to their websites -- than professional writers???

And of course if a writer has really studied his craft, then he ought to know at least enough about copywriting to produce a decent sales pitch on the website and bring some clients on board.

Alas, it's just not the case though, and it leaves a handful of us with more jobs than we know what to do with ... which is why we end up referring jobs to other writers and essentially earning a passive income.

But writers can keep their referral fees to themselves by just putting their talents to good use. Rather than spending all day on job bidding sites, they can:

    * Do a little research into search engine marketing techniques so that they understand the basics of optimizing their websites and getting free traffic.

Being Creative With Your Fundraising Ideas
Have you realized just how much fundraising is going on these days? There is fundraising for little league, school fundraisers, and the college fundraiser, as well as church fundraisers. Day cares need more funds, hospitals need new equipment, and cheerleaders ne

Selling Bus Washing Services by Phone
If you are in the pressure washing business and you clean fleets of vehicles then you realize the largest fleets make the most money. This is why it behooves you and your company to try to get contracts to clean bus fleets. Bus fleets are often owned by transit

Scary Subliminal Advertising And Why It Works
According to an April 2006 issue of the New Scientist, research has proven that subliminal advertising messages work… and that if conditions are right, subliminal advertising to promote a brand can be made to work.Previous experiments claiming this were deb
