Filing Systems For The Paperless Office
Filing systems are not going away any time soon. The paperless world we thought was created with the advent of computers has done nothing more than create an exponential amount of reasons for us to generate more hard copy documents requiring storage such as file cabinets. This need for more office document storage has also increased the need for improved office filing systems.Reviewing the large selection of brand name office furniture retailers can be overwhelming. This is where I can draw on experience. With our combined years in various office settings and 10 years as an operations manager, I offer the ideas as pertains to filing cabinets for any department or home office.Simple ideas and suggestions like the following are often neglected. Disregarded, an office filing system can be harmful to a business in many ways. Important documents can be lost and much time wasted in searching for a hard-copy of a document.Consider the manpower and heartache experienced as well as the possible lost revenue when you cannot locate an invoice, bill or critical piece of paper needed to complete a transaction because the office organized by different stacks of paper on various people's desks. One of the keys to successful participation is making your problem their problem. This technique creates ownership and a willingness to help on the part of your prospects. Obviously, asking for help is much milder than telling someone what to do or think. You will have more success involving your prospects in the solution if you give them the option of participating. Networking Strategic Alliances
BNI (Business Networking International) coined the phrase “giver's gain”, which basically means that if you give referrals, leads or resources the recipients will want to repay you somehow. The problem is that as your network grows, it will become increasingly difficult to give referrals to everyone in your network. This is somewhat counterintuitive because most people would think that as they add contacts to their network it will be easier to refer the new members of your network to each other. However, if you know five accountants it is difficult to refer to all five of them equally. One way to give back to your network is to develop a number of strategic alliances. There are a few basic steps you should follow to help ensure that your new alliances are effective. First, be sure to think about what you want the alliance to accomplish. Are you simply trying to reach new potential customers? Or are you also trying to reduce your marketing costs? In general, think about the goals of the alliance. Here are some things you might want to consider.- You will get access to the networks of your partners. - You will get to associate your business with another, potentially, more establishe
The more you engage someone's five senses, involve them mentally and physically, and create the right atmosphere for persuasion, the more effective and persuasive you'll be. Listening can be a very passive act; you can listen to an entire speech and not feel or do a thing. As a persuader, you need to help your audience be one step closer to taking action. As a Master Persuader, your goal is to decrease the distance someone has to go to reach your objective.

When you get a prospect to start something, it is most likely they will follow through and complete your desired outcome. The more involved they become, the less psychological distance between the start and the finish. The desired outcome becomes more and more realistic instead of just an idea you are proposing. If you put on your shoes to go to the store, you are more likely to continue in that direction. If you sit down and turn on the TV, your goal of going to the store is more unlikely to be reached.

There are many ways to use involvement. We are going to give you a general overview of the following:

    *Increasing Participation

    *Creating Atmosphere

    *Maintaining Attention

    *Questioning, Stories

    *Engaging the Five Senses

For additional information on Involving Your Prospect In The Sale, go to Top Reasons Why Document Scanning Makes Sense
Document scanning is not new technology and has been around now for many years. We have seen document scanning become mainstream in the last few years with advent of multifunction machines that print, copy and scan. Walk into any office supply store and you we will see an isle full of fax machines that scan, as well as print. There is off the shelf scanning software that will not only allow you to scan, but will allow you to create keyword searchable images for under $99.1. Access - Scanned documents are easily shared by employees and staff who need fast access to business information. In most cases documents can be shared across a LAN, WAN or the Internet.2. Security - Most document management systems allow for security at many levels. In most cases access to documents can be limited or restricted by user.3. Compliance - Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, Patriot Act all have requirements for safe-guarding information. Document retrieval systems that track user activity and provide audit trails help with many of the compliance guidelines businesses must adhere to.4. Disaster Recovery - Although not the main reason, Disaster Recover or Contingency Planning is a by product of document scanpect In The Sale, go to Is Everyone In Your Company On The Same Page?
In order to have a successful business, as a business owner, and as a sales and marketing professional, you need to focus on what's special and different about your business. The best way to do this is to try to express your uniqueness in a single statement.Rosser Reeves was the author of the phrase, "Unique Selling Proposition," or USP, which is a unique message about your business versus the competition. I actually prefer the term UVP, or "Unique Value Proposition". The reason I prefer this term is that it is external, and shows what value your company brings to your customers and prospects. The term USP is internal. It suggests that you are putting pressure on your current and future customers by trying "to sell" to them. Whereas we all know that you want your prospects and customers "to buy" from you.Your UVP should be developed and used consistently in all of your advertising and promotion. By UVP we don't necessarily mean a slogan or a phrase that will appear in your advertising, although that's one possible use for it. However, at this point we're focusing on its usefulness as a tool to help you focus on what your business is all about. If you cannot conal stake in what we are doing.

One of the keys to successful participation is making your problem their problem. This technique creates ownership and a willingness to help on the part of your prospects. Obviously, asking for help is much milder than telling someone what to do or think. You will have more success involving your prospects in the solution if you give them the option of participating. Feeling that it was their choice and their solution, your prospects will take ownership--they have persuaded themselves. It becomes their own problem and their own solution. By nature, people will support what they help create.

Another way to boost participation is with atmosphere. Atmosphere is really just a state of mind that you can create. Think about the following locations and the atmosphere they purposefully create: Hardware stores, Bookstores, Malls, Casinos, Theme restaurants, Amusement parks, Hospitals, Law offices

Each establishment is vastly different but when you walk in, you know immediately the atmosphere or feeling that it evokes. In this way, the atmosphere moves you. Antique stores purposefully create an atmosphere of chaos. They appear to be unorganized with everything strewn around or disheveled. This is done so that customers believe they have stumbled upon a great find, a piece of buried treasure. Nike Town is a set of stores, each with an athletic theme. If the customer is successfully seduced by the excitement and energy of the athletic atmosphere, he will want to make himself just a little worthier of it. This means buying a new pair of Nikes.

It is common sense to realize you have to keep your audience's attention in order to persuade them. If you lose them, you lose your chance for them to understand and accept your proposal. We know from our own personal experience that we tend to let our minds naturally drift when we are listening to other people. We cannot focus on one item for too long unless we are forced to do so. Master Persuaders can make a person want to pay attention and stay focused. You may lose your audience’s attention from time to time but it is your jo
