Choosing the proper sealer for the job at hand is essential. Choose the wrong one and your packaging operations will grind to a halt. What you're sealing and how many need to be done per day or per hour will be the determining factors in the sealer you eventually purchase. The basic types of sealers are single impulse, double impulse and constant heat.Single impulse units utilize a single piece of Ni-Chrome wire mounted either in the upper or lower jaw of the sealer to produce the desired seal. Single impulse units use either a round wire element or a flat wire element of various widths. Round wire elements are typically used for what is called cut and seal operations such as working with shrink film. Flat wire elements are available in widths from 1/8" to 3/8" with the 1/8" width being

How many hours do you spend at work? Now, how many of those hours are spent on staying focused and productive? If you’re like most busy professionals, an honest assessment will show you spend very little time on bottom-line results.

Numerous reports and studies focus on the rule of 80/20, stemming from the work of Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto. His 80/20 rule, often called the Pareto Principle, is how evolving research has found that, in general, 20 percent of efforts lead to 80 percent of results. (Indeed, many software management reports have discovered an even more disheartening finding of 90/10.)

Imagine the extraordinary results if you can devote dramatically more than 20 percent or even 30 percent (and more!) of your time to staying focused and productive!

A major cause of lost time and productivity is what I call Overwhelm. We are overwhelmed by too many meetings and unanticipated interruptions. We also suffer Self-Imposed Overwhelm that distracts us from our goals. We spend too much time with our cell phones and email. We suffer personal stress. We don’t avoid stress traps.

How To Identify, Exploit, and Profit From Niche Markets
There are two basic approaches to advertising or lead generation... the shotgun approach... or the rifle approach. There is only one cost efficient way... the rifle approach.By carefully selecting specific niche markets, or market segments, and presenting a compelling message directly to that audience, you will begin to reap the real profit rewards of direct marketing.First let's define a "niche" market. I define it as: "Any homogeneous market in which the members of the group have similar occupational, interests, or lifestyle characteristics... those characteristics being ones which would make them an excellent prospect to benefit from your services... and/or consume your products.HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF TARGETING OCCUPATIONAL MARKETS FOR A "WELLNESS" NICHE...Some of the

    Are We Ready For Change?
What would it happen if we do not pay our bills every month?Earning money is not an end in itself. We want money to pay our bills, to have our dream vacation with that one special being, or with our family. Money is good for buying our dream house or the car we want to share with family, with friends or that sweet being we dream with. We are in business because we have dreams. To achieve our dreams we have to build a successful mindset. Whatever the business we are in we must have a winning attitude.Hard work is a way of living. However, more than hard work, we have to work smartly. Persistence is great. However we have to persist with the guidance of those who are successful on their own right. Being on the internet is a way to achieve our dreams. The Internet is a great tool, but we have

Managing Conflict, in Life & Work: Using Ancient and Modern Approaches
“Conflict” is a word that can have varying degrees of severity, meaning, and implication for each individual or circumstance. For example, the conflict that is experienced in our current, daily lives seems insignificant in comparison to the Samurai, or those in war, who faced death on a regular basis. However, it is still important to extrapolate the significant lessons that have been derived from such severe scenarios, as these notions are still applicable in the conflict that we experience in the workplace and life today.Conflict is unavoidable, as each individual has unique and differing thoughts, ideas, and opinions. Changing the Image of Drive-thru Service
It's a common scene in the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant. A guest pulls to the window, pays for the meal and then opens the bag – opening and closing wrappers and boxes to make sure the order is correct. The process is considered an inconvenient but necessary step for guests. For operators, it slows down the line and impacts sales in an industry where time especially means money.Envision a time when guests are so confident in the drive-thru experience that they just take their food from the server, put the bag aside without a glance and drive away with a sense of satisfaction. The public's general perception is that drive-thru service is typically slow and inaccurate – and it can be a hassle since you don't always get what you order – but it is still better than getting out of the car

Here are three keys to planning your day for higher productivity.

KEY ONE: Find Your Peak Energy Time and Use It!

What time of day do you have the most energy? For many people, it’s mornings. I find myself freshest and ready to go in the morning, so I protect my Peak Energy Time by scheduling those hours for my most important work. I block out the time between 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. each day for focused work and long-term planning.

Instead of forcing myself into a time frame when I am most resistant to creativity and action, I take control by establishing my own time frame for my most productive hours. My stress levels plummet when I’m in control of my Peak Energy Time, eliminating procrastination, helplessness and the resulting frustrations that can erode focus and productivity. Block out at least two hours during your Peak Energy Time.

•An Early Morning Person? Block out two early hour mornings.

    • A Mid-Morning Person? Block out 10:15am – 12:15pm

    • An Early Afternoon Person? Block out two early afternoon hours.

    • A Mid-Afternoon Person? Block out 2:45pm – 4:30pm.

Regardless of the time of day you schedule as your Peak Energy Time, there are two productivity skills you must use to
