    Online, Offline….. what’s the difference? Today, I wish to ‘talk’ about the difference in opening a business in your high street, or opening a business online. What drives people to do this? Is there any difference between the two? What skills do you need for each? Let’s suppose you want to open a bricks-and-mortar shop, let’s say a shop selling food products.What do you need to do before your first customer enters ?a) Build/compile your Business Plan!b) Conduct Market Researchc) Find premises, at the right location/rent/price (if you are buying freehold)d) Formulate a Marketing Plane) Engage a solicitor/lawyer to deal with legal issues – Local Government regulations youhave to comply with, leases/contract/exit strategies etc.f) Research the market to find capi

    Business Financing Options for Canadian Companies
    One of the biggest challenges for Canadian company owners is obtaining business financing. As a first instinct, owners usually try to go to the bank hoping for a business loan or line of credit. They soon find that qualifying for bank financing is hard, as the bank will demand collateral and three years worth of financial statements. Although large companies can qualify for bank funding, most small and midsized companies can’t. However, small companies are not out of options. There are two alternatives.If the business sells goods or services to other businesses and your main challenge is that they need money to pay suppliers or employees, the solution could lie in using two little known financing products – invoice factoring and purchase order financing.Most small and midsized businesses have cash flow problems because clients
    Brochures, broadcast plugs and press releases – don’t call them public relations. Call them what they really are, valuable tactical devices which public relations calls upon from time to time to move a message from here to there.

    A Paralegal Career is an Excellent Choice
    A career as a paralegal is an excellent choice. Young people graduating from high school and college should consider becoming a paralegal, legal assistant or legal secretary. There are many reasons to explore legal careers.Some people use their office staff positions as springboards to become attorneys. They can work during the day and take classes in the evening. While they are working in their springboard positions, they learn on-the-job. They might admit this arrangement, though tough at times, gives them an advantage in law school courses.A paralegal career certainly does not have to be a springboard to be successful and fulfilling. Legal assistants can enjoy their careers in the long-term. These are solid careers with as much learning and opportunity for advancement as the candidates opt to create for themselves.

    Your Dispatcher is Your Future
    When it comes to a driver's success throughout his or her career there will always be one factor that will stand out time and time again above all else...more important than the equipment you drive, more important than the freight you haul, and even more important than the company you were working for. The biggest factor in the level of success and happiness a driver will find will without a doubt be your dispatcher. Everything in trucking begins and ends right here....with dispatch.Depending on whom you ask, dispatchers can go by many names. If you ask someone in middle management in a large company they may call them fleet managers, distribution specialists, driver managers, and other wonderful titles. They'll smile and say how these people are the backbone of the company and their knowledge, dedication, expertise, and heartfelt ap

    Marketers Beware, Brand Singletons Lonely and Pathetic At Your Peril
    The days of the pathetic singleton, sitting all alone at home moping over his or her lonely existence are over. Singles are more racially diverse, younger and enjoy a youthful outlook on life. They share a love of media and socializing and a wide number of activities from shopping to blogging.U.S. singletons find themselves as the majority group. They are increasingly going solo, but it’s not because they’ve been dumped; far from it, for them, solo life is a fantastic alternative to the ball and chain or eventual divorce. And this group is a force to be reckoned with or a market waiting to be captured, depending on how you look at it.Marketers would be wise to sit up and take notice of this ever expanding market. However, they’ll need to beware, this group isn’t interested in tired old marketing ideas that depict an old fashio
    ch an achievement is the underlying premise of public relations: People act on their own perception of the facts before them, which leads to predictable behaviors about which something can be done. When we create, change or reinforce that opinion by reaching, persuading and moving-to-desired-action the very people whose behaviors affect the organization the most, the public relations mission is usually accomplished.

    The good news for those managers is that the right public relations planning really CAN alter individual perception and lead to changed behaviors among key outside audiences.

    You may be such a manager. If you are, try to remember that your PR effort must demand more than special events, news releases and talk show tactics if you are to receive the quality public relations results you deserve.

    You’ll be glad you took such a step when capital givers or specifying sources beginning to look your way;
