Direct Mail Marketing for Local Clientele for Off Season at Resorts
All Big Resorts have peak seasons and during these peak seasons they receive the bulk of their business from very high paying customers. But what can a resort do during the non-peak seasons? It makes sense to fill it up with people and paying customers even if those customers are not amongst
some time on how Jyve Pro will initially be launched into the a market place which is typically has high throughput, with an low/average compensation.
Arguably this is a good place to start as it may be possible to secure a large subscriber base with little effort and many would speculate that the subscriber base, and not the revenue, should be the first "quick win". Bu
    More Change Demands More Leadership
"Leadership is about coping with change. Part of the reason it has become so important in recent years is that the world has become more competitive and more volatile...doing what was done yesterday, or doing it 5% better, is no longer a formula for success. Major changes are more and more nece
When I was writing this blog the snowball effect seemed to talk hold of me and so it was split into two parts!

The has been much press about outsourcing over recent years. Call centres to India were the initial hole in the dam. As this hole expanded to allow more trade it sucked in medical billing processes, content for publications, x-ray and even private tutoring for children.

The use of technology and collaboration tools have helped to minimise any pains with transition to outsourced skills and the management of them but technology is not the answer to everything.
The concept of virtual teams can increase our productivity. If you are happy to work more than 7 hours a day then you could start with you virtual team in Mumbai and finish your day with your colleagues in Vancouver or San Francisco, stopping a couple of times in Europe on the way. Sacrificing a few hours of mundane TV watching could prove to be an investment in your future.

Leon and I were talking with Charles Carleton and Dennis Warren from Jyve Pro last night. Among many other things, we discussed how their technology is the realisation of a concept that Leon had two year previous and then wrote about in his book (so it is possible to predict the future ;) ). We focussed for some time on how Jyve Pro will initially be launched into the a market place which is typically has high throughput, with an low/average compensation.

9 Necessary Steps You Should Take When You Hire Your First Salesperson
As a small business owner, at some point in time, you will most likely decide to hire your first salesperson. This process can be exciting and rewarding but only when the proper planning is completed. It is important to keep in mind the old saying; proper planning prevents poor performance. Thi

Barter: It's Not Just for Doctors Anymore
Time was, in the country, the local “doc” was as likely to get paid with a couple of chickens as a couple of dollars. Doctors these days won’t stand for that, of course, but while some people have moved completely away from barter and stayed there, others have embraced it wholeheartedly.

Why Shouldn't Charities Use Proven Marketing Techniques?
I ran across an interesting article the other day originally published in a newspaper in Danbury, CT and posted on their online news feed at newstimeslive.com.The article deals with the practice of including address labels used by some charities as a part of their annual appeals. The wr

Leading Change - Telling it Straight
"We're not going to that stupid meeting! They'll just feed us more BS." That was the overwhelming sentiment at a recent workshop I conducted for a worldwide company doing around $8 billion is sales. It was one colossal problem they had on their hands. You see about a year ago now the folk

But what about legal advice, accountancy advice as examples. The subscriber base for these alone must be huge. Not only that but it is high value too. I think there will be considerable kudos to the first legal firm to provide instant, 24/7, voip, by the minute advice to clients. Think about this in the context of the first paragraph above. The law firm doesn't need the staff to deliver the service, just the network. The network can be anywhere.
