Excellent indeed. That is an incredible time for age sixty. He asked what times I ran in the 800-meter as he was considering changing races to the demon of all Track and Field events; The 800 Meter.

      While looking for my old 800-meter work out schedule from college, I thought back to those glory days and told him that I would dig up one of my old running schedules, but seems to me it was:

              Also note that I got to the point I was adding in a 3-mile run in the mornings and evenings on top of that every day. But we are talking HS Championship and attempting to keep up with the world class runners at College Invitationals. Gotta do it if you want to win. Now remember I was a miler for the most part.

              So those distances and workouts were for the mile run. The 800-meter was to help the team with points, nearly killed me, ha ha ha. Yep, I do remember the pain. But I promised to look thru some of my old schedules, at different times and coaches we did different type workouts, lots of Fartlek or interval training.

              It was great to talk with a fellow competitive runner, it has been a long time, but one never forgets.
