How to Hold Effective Staff Meetings
Many people believe that they conduct effective meetings, when all they really do is host a party. Or worse, they deliver a monologue. In either case, their meetings produce little. Here’s how to hold an effective staff meeting.1) In general. Keep them short. Most staff meetings should last less than an hour. You want your staff to spend their
unter obstacles and the only thing that will separate those that get past them and those that quit is the strength of their purpose.

Who Are You? What Do You Do? (And Does Anyone else Know?)
Who are you? What do you do?What phrase or few words do others use when they describe you and your business to others? Is this different or the same no matter who is doing the describing (you mom says pretty much the same thing as your insurance broker?)We're talking here about your unique brand Becau
If you have recently decided to become involved with a network marketing company or have been with one for years, there are two things you must know to survive and build a business that will pay you for life.

    1) Make sure you have a rock solid purpose. What do you love? What do you hate? What is really important to you? What situation do you want out of and never want to be in again? You may have heard this before, but this is going to be the single biggest factor in your success in network marketing. I'm not talking about goals or about money. When you own your own business you have to have discipline and a reason to "go to work" every day, even when you don't feel like it. Your purpose should make you emotional, get you excited, and down right touch your heart. You need a strong enough reason to do this business so that if what you are doing isn't working, you'll find another way. If you are wishy-washy in your purpose, you are setting yourself up for failure. Your purpose is your lifeline. Think of it this way: If you were told you had a life threatening disease and had 24 hours to make it across the country to a clinic for the cure, yet you didn't have a car or a nickel to your name; what would you do to get to that clinic in time? You need the same driving force for doing your business. It will literally save you when times get tough or you are afraid to talk to someone or the phone feel like it weighs 100 pounds. Every one of us will encounter obstacles and the only thing that will separate those that get past them and those that quit is the strength of their purpose.

The Reflective Supply Chain in Manufacturing
The well publicised plight of manufacturing companies in the United Kingdom has led to an ever increasing demand for reduction of internal costs and now, more than ever, the focus has been on the cost of supply chains. The nature of supply chains and their structure is however often overlooked, and many of the internal costs can be eliminated by examining the o

Survey: The Secret to Effective Marketing

    Inevitable Change
Once there was a time in business when you could experience a change and then return to a period of relative stability. Nowadays, changes occur constantly - one on top of another. We need to acknowledge change and realize that change is a continuous journey - a way of life rather than a one-time event that can be lived through. With considerable momentum and

    How To Give Feedback?
Feedback should be given as per merit and must be constructive. Imagine a child who keeps on making mistakes in his studies. If we were to give only negative feedback, the child is supposed to be rebuked everytime he does something. No one will argue about the damage this does to a child's psychology. Instead if small mistakes are considered as a part of the chi

    2) Remain teachable. The moment you stop learning and growing is the moment your business is going to stop growing and start dying. Continue to be a student of business, your products, the industry and of people. Set aside at least 2 hours a week for personal development. Ask people and leaders you admire for recommendations of seminars, books on CD, DVD's, books, magazines, websites, newsletters and more. Sharpen and hone your skills so that you can help your team. I personally recommend studying and learning about communication and how to talk to different people. If you can master that one skill and remain teachable in that area you are bound for greatness.

Now if that doesn't motivate you to remain teachable, maybe this will: The single biggest factor in successfully building your team will be to train them and when you think you've trained until you are blue in the face, train some more. You cannot expect your team to attend training to grow and learn if you are not setting that example for them. So if you have no other reason to remain teachable, let that be your reason. Lead by example. Believe it or not, the pay-off will be both personal growth and growth within your business.
