How To Turn Your Business Into A Remarkable One!
What is a Remarkable Business? My definition of a remarkable business is - a business that serves its customers like no other on the planet. The only purpose of any business - whatever the size - is to provide the highest possible service, value and result to every single person that inquires of you, asks advice from you and buys or invest from you.If your business is a remarkable one, your competition will have no chance. Your business WILL be the compelling choice to your customers! You and Your business will be constantly written about, interviewed and publicised.Let me share something by Seth Godin:This is an essay about what it takes to create and sell something remarkable. There are many different types of promotional merchandise, ranging from T-shirts and badges to calendars and desktop accessories, all usually imprinted with a company's name, logo or message. The innovative use of promotional merchandise in developing solutions to marketing challenges can help raise brand awareness, increase tradeshow traffic, improve employee retention and much more. The impact on brand image can be significant with recipients of promotional merchandise gaining a more positive overall image of a business. As a result, they are more likely to recommend the business to others and more likely to give it their custom. Promotional merchandise can also have a significant effect on in
Today we want to talk about how you build your website and upload it to your host. (I’m sure you realize we can’t cover every detail of the process in these articles. My goal is just to get you started. To make it all work, you will need to get help from your local FE college or your techie as we have discussed in earlier articles. This is just an outline.)

    Building your website

To build a website you need some software called either a ‘webpage builder’ or an ‘HTML editor’ (these both mean the same thing). There are three types:

    • The simplest and hardest to use requires you to write everything directly in HTML. I would forget about this one for now (if you’re interested, you can actually build your entire webpage using just Windows Notepad. You’re not really interested, are you?).
    • The one in the middle allows you to enter text and format it – more or less the way you do when working in Microsoft Word. You can also add images, format background colours and borders. These are sometimes referred to as ‘WYSIWYG’ – pronounced ‘wizzywig’ -editors (what y
Unemployment Blues: Are We Pre-Programmed To Be Productive?
Toiling away at our daily grind, we dream of running away to Hawaii or the South Pacific where we can lie on the beach and do absolutely nothing. Some of us are lucky enough to take a vacation there and temporarily cut ourselves off from the world of responsibilities and demands and worries. We breathe easier, sleep deeper, eat more heartily. It is truly paradise. It's wonderful because we have a life waiting to be reclaimed when we step off the plane. Our job is waiting for us and we go back to work with renewed energy and zest from our long overdue break. It is like the first few days of unemployment, that honeymoon period when we find ourselves with extra time on our hands and no reason to get up ea

Ever hear someone say “Don’t listen to them! They just want to take you on a rollercoaster ride!”Many people who care about you and your well being will say something to this effect when you are provided with a business opportunity online. It is a way to deter you from joining up but what does it mean?A rollercoaster provides anxiety building climbs, adrenaline pumping falls and exhilarating twists and turns. Half the time one is unsure which direction they are going and after all the ups and downs and twists and turns they find themselves back where they started.Like a rollercoaster there are times when business is slow and times when things seem to be overwhelming fast. However, the scariest part lled either a ‘webpage builder’ or an ‘HTML editor’ (these both mean the same thing). There are three types:

We all know that achieving better alignment, synergy and cooperation between company marketing and sales departments is vital, but oh so elusive. Despite all the talk and more talk in the media and at national business gatherings, nothing significant ever seems to happen. The reason nothing happens is that there is only one person who can truly make it happen: The Company CEO. Unfortunately, CEOs don’t seem to be getting the message. Why is the CEO the key?In virtually every company, the president or CEO is responsible for setting the primary direction and goals for all parts of that company’s operations. Many CEOs practice a macro style of management, delegating many of their responsibilities to othehis one for now (if you’re interested, you can actually build your entire webpage using just Windows Notepad. You’re not really interested, are you?).

Often you see job postings with a request such as “Send resume with salary history to…” I don’t know about you but the first thing that pops into my mind is what do they expect to pay? The next question I ponder is whether or not it’s legal to request this information. Who will see my salary history when my resume and accompanying documents are received? Will it be the hiring manager, someone in the human resources department, or will it be a notoriously nosy employee whose job it is to open the mail? Will that individual broadcast my confidential information to other employees? Some employers use this tactic to save themselves time and weed out applicants that expect more than they are willing to pay or, based onit – more or less the way you do when working in Microsoft Word. You can also add images, format background colours and borders. These are sometimes referred to as ‘WYSIWYG’ – pronounced ‘wizzywig’ -editors (what you see is what you get: a really, really old – 1992 or so – computing term).
        • The easiest to use and least flexible is something we might call a ‘template’ or series of templates. These are often included as part of a complete package you might buy to get you started in the business. With templates, you ‘fill in the blanks’ then make selections for font, background colour and the like. Software packages that include a number of templates are available at reasonable cost.

I suggest you think about a WYSIWYG editor. They range in price from about ?750 for a top-shelf package to about ?20 for something really basic. As a general rule, the more you pay, the more flexibility you have. The downside of this is that sometimes the more powerful, more flexible software is somewhat more difficult to use.
