    Election 2006: Political Aftermath Analysis
Congratulations to the Democratic Party for their election victories and for an excellent slate of candidates. For the first time in memory, a political party ran candidates with gravitas, and that is at the heart of their victory. I was inspired by the quiet dignity of Harold Ford, Jr. and his magnificent concession speech. I know we will hear from him again soon. America needs dignity back in Washington, D.C.The Republican Party must now begin the process of collecting the ashes. Once again, the party of power and pre
ep and talking on the phone while driving. Then we end up feeling drained and resort to more energy drains such as gossip, bickering and complaining. Your car can’t run without fuel and a tune up and neither can you. Maybe all you need to manage your energy is a healthy dose of laughter and a good nap.

Become your own best friend. Let me guess: you often feel guilty, you have a hard time saying “no,” you juggle way too many responsibilities and you are hard on yourself. The reason I know is because much of 2006 was spent conducting surveys where between 60 and 80 percent of survey respondents answered yes to the first four statements. Suggestions For Leaving An Abusive Partner By One Who's Been There
Though I am not a doctor, my advice comes from a combination of personal experience and therapy given to me by professionals. Leaving someone controlling and/or abusive can be (and usually is) a dangerous situation, so more than anything, my wish to you is to call your local domestic violence hotline and get help in finding a therapist that can assist you in your quest. It truly helps to have help from these places as they can help you find lodging, clothing, counseling and more, all for the asking. The help I recieved from mu
There’s a lot of talk right now about the Law of Attraction. The assertion is that getting to your desired goal is not so much about the action as it is about the attitude. The premise is that attitude comes before action, and when you have a good attitude you attract more good into your life and when you have a negative attitude you attract more negativity. You’ve no doubt experienced the law of attraction in your own life. You are in an extremely good mood and you also get a promotion. You wake up on the wrong side of the bed and end up having a fender bender. Here are four ways to improve your business results based on the law of attraction.

Focus on what you want. The law of attraction states that what you focus on expands. If you observe others you notice that most people focus on what they do not want. “I don’t want to argue, I don’t want to waste time, and I don’t want to have regrets.” The way to change the focus is through the power of words. Instead of saying “I don’t want to argue” say “I want to get along.” Instead of saying I don’t want to waste time, say,” I want to use time effectively” and instead of saying “I don’t want to have regrets,” say “I want to be conscientious about my choices.” Using these principles can enhance teamwork, improve productivity and take your business to the next level.

Build rewarding work relationships. In my graduate work I conducted surveys where I asked the question “What would improve productivity at work?” Across the board the answer was “better working relationships.” We discover who we are through our relationships, and relationships always have something to teach us. You can run from the lesson but you can’t hide. For example, if you transfer to another department to get away from the lazy co-worker who takes advantage of you, eventually you get to work with another lazy co-worker who takes advantage of you. Perhaps the co-worker is there to teach you about setting boundaries, teamwork and speaking your truth.

If you can’t retain your employees even though you pay a decent wage and have benefits, chances are it’s a relationship problem. If you keep firing employees because they don’t measure up, it’s time to offer some training, prepare an employee handbook or hire a HR manager. We are who we are because of relationships and relationships can only be effective if they are mutually rewarding.

Manage your energy. In their book, The Power of Full Engagement, authors Jim Loehr and Tony Schwartz suggest that the key to high performance and personal renewal is managing energy and not time. Most of us have forgotten the importance of renewal and regeneration. We try to get more done by skipping lunch, getting less sleep and talking on the phone while driving. Then we end up feeling drained and resort to more energy drains such as gossip, bickering and complaining. Your car can’t run without fuel and a tune up and neither can you. Litebook Personal Light Therapy
Many people seem skeptical of light therapy and unsure about exactly what it is and what it does. But consider how many hours (each day) most folks spend indoors? 14 hours? 20 hours? 24 hours? Most people today are stuck in an office for 8 hours a day, then come home to the TV for another 3 or 4 hours before finally going to bed. This kind of routine leaves very little time for soaking up the sun and reaping the benefits of light exposure. We were not made to be locked in the dark day after day. Mother Nature

    SOS For Holistic Practictioners
Why Do Holistic Practitioners Not Earn Their WorthHolistic Practitioners, by their very nature, tend to be loving, caring, giving people with a genuine desire to help and heal fellow human beings and the planet as a whole.Out of this desire to help, many practitioners tend to give away a lot of their services for free or charge very low prices. In doing so, they undermine themselves and their service, and end up running round like very drained headless chickens.Happiness is a direct result of fulfilling ou

Good Recruiting Practices Essential To Hiring Sales & Marketing Superstars
Let's talk about the importance of using good recruiting practices to hire top performing sales and marketing professionals in today's economy. It's not a secret that the economy is on a sustained growth path for the last several years. What that has caused is much higher employment. We're down to almost 5 % in Oregon, but even nation wide the number is even less than that. And if you look at the unemployment figure, that includes all of the structural unemployment. So, the fact is, most really talented people, particular

How To Last Longer In Bed
There's a lot at stake when it comes to dealing with a man's pride, especially in the bedroom when learning how to last longer in bed. Many men even try to emulate porn stars to learn how to last longer in bed. Like me, you may have used desensitizing creams/gels/sprays, cock-rings and anti-depressants. I had to draw the line at getting expensive injections into the base of my penis!Let me assure you right now that there is an answer to teach you how to last longer in bed, and it's not inside a bottle or needle and you

The reason I know is because much of 2006 was spent conducting surveys where between 60 and 80 percent of survey respondents answered yes to the first four statements. If you want to start being a better friend to you, here are some suggestions.

    1. Stop the guilt trip. Guilt is nothing but judgment about something you should have done or should be doing. Either clean up your act, or become happy with your current decisions. Anything else is madness.

    2. Be true to yourself. Quit betraying yourself by saying “Yes” when you need to say “no.” Your attitude will improve because you’ll be less resentful of others and you’ll be taking responsibility instead of trying to be a people pleaser.

    3. Respect others enough to make them pull their weight. Have the integrity to speak to them about the situation and be prepared to deal with excessive pouting on their part as they try to convince you to revert back to old patterns.

    4. Be kind to yourself. You can’t give to others what you can’t give to yourself.
