It’s usually on a timer of about 30 seconds and for every certain number of web pages you view; you earn a ‘credit’ which means that your page will get shown to others, or with certain exchanges you can earn money. The ratio of views to credits varies, but I would say the average was two views to one credit. You can up-grade to being a paid member and get a better ratio.

The other thing you must take into consideration is that the people who surf the exchanges are primarily sellers and not buyers, hence surf exchanges are mostly useful for lead capture.
