    Nursing Resumes
What to Include in Nursing ResumesNursing resumes are slightly different from every other resume that you would send out. Being that nursing is a specialized profession, you need to remember a few things when putting together your first resume. Nursing resumes can be difficult to write because they will not include the same information as a standard resume trying to secure an office position. Read through the tips below before you start sending out your resume to potential employers.First off, remember that nursing resumes will not include all past work experience. When applying for an office job, you usually show all of your past work experience, no matter how irrelevant it may sound. But remember that nursing is a specialized profession. You want to make sure that you put down your experience relative to nursing and downplay the rest of your work experience. This is not to say that you cannot include other work experience on nursing resumes, just be sure to not let those jobs overshadow your nursing experience.Remember to include all nursing related experience on your resume. Anything that pertains to nursing, or caring for people should be highlighted on your resume so that it stands head and shoulders above the rest. This can include any volunteer work that you may have completed, or any nursing work that you did

How to Avoid the Line Extension Trap
If you follow the prevailing logic of most modern companies, you will inevitably fall into this trap. Line extension is using an existing brand name or image and extending it to new products. Sounds like a good idea, right? Why not use the equity of your known brand to draw attention to a new product? The reason is that you tend to confuse customers as to what your brand means, and in the long run this strategy decreases overall market share. For example, in 1978 7UP was the lemon lime Uncola with a 5.7% share of the soda beverage market. Trying to capitalize on this significant market share, they created 7UP Gold, Cherry 7UP, and assorted diet versions. Logic would dictate that with a greater product offering they would have gained a greater share of the market. On the contrary, their sales plummeted to 4.2%. Line extensions confuse customers. Why do so many companies use line extensions if they tend to fail? I’m not really sure why they continue to ignore the data, but here are some possible reasons:• They don’t do their homework. If companies took the time to investigate the lack of success of line extensions by other brands and companies, they might think better of the idea.• Ego. They feel so successful with their current brand they think they can carry the momentum to the next item by slapping their name on

Could a Non-Profit Structure Be Right for Your Business?
If you have a business idea, or an idea for a service for your community, there's one decision you must make early on: are you going to structure your project as a for-profit business, or as a non-profit corporation? Now, it may be that you already have a clear idea about this. Some business ideas are clearly "for profit". For example, if you want to sell insurance, or stocks, that's undoubtedly a for-profit business. On the other hand, if you want to raise money for research into a cure for juvenile diabetes, that project will best be served by forming a non-profit corporation. One difference between for-profit and non-profit organizations is that grants funding is generally reserved for non-profits. Some grants are available to for-profits (and to individuals), such as government grants to promote affordable housing or job creation in economically depressed neighborhoods. Most grants, however, and particularly grants from foundations, are given only to non-profit corporations designated by the Internal Revenue Service as 501(c)3 corporations. In many cases it is not so easy to determine into which category a business idea should fall. One question to ask is: will my planned project deliver a service to clients? A beauty shop located in Beverly Hills, catering to wealthy women, is certainly a service business. The

    Workplace Bullying
75% of victims eventually left an organization because of bullying. Since over 80% of bullies were in management positions, they had some measure of power over their victim, which they exploited to their own sadistic ends. – Campaign Against Workplace Bullying (C.A.W.B)C.A.W.B defines workplace bullying as; “the repeated, malicious verbal mistreatment of a victim (the recipient) by a harassing bully (the perpetrator) that is driven by the bully’s desire to control the victim.”The objective of any workplace bully is control, power, domination and subjugation. The means by which that objective is attained varies from bully to bully but can include deception, corruption and collusion, negligence, dereliction of duty, conspiracy, or even criminal acts. The Canada Safety Council states that bullies tend to be insecure people with poor or non-existent social skills with little empathy. Like other criminal types they look for system failings and fester in the insecure corporation finding satisfaction in their ability to attack and diminish the capable people around them. A workplace bully subjects the victim to unjustified criticism and even minor fault finding. In addition, the bully humiliates the victim, especially in front of others, and ignores, overrules, isolates and excludes the victim.“Most cases of bullying involve a serial bully:

Marketing Techniques: What Works & What Doesn't for a PC Repair Business
Following are techniques that I tried, how they failed or succeeded, what works and what doesn’t and why. I show many different ways of advertising your new PC Repair Business, and what to avoid. I also show several unique types of advertising that get good results, which you may have never heard of before, but they work! There is a lot here to read, but you won’t regret learning everything that I have to show you. Don’t make the same mistake I did, with trial and error. Let me show you what works. Enjoy!NEWSPAPER ADSI knew quite a bit about graphic design (being a graphic designer for many years), so I would put an appetizing ad, no, in fact, a COUPON, in the local newspaper. People are always looking for a discount. And EVERYONE has computer problems. So I should just get swamped with business just off this one ad. NOPE! I got one phone call from my ad. I had placed the ad in the local newspaper (our city’s main newspaper) which went to 33,000 homes, and I had it come out on the biggest readership day: Sunday. The ad I placed was a professionally-designed Computer Tune-up ad that I had done, giving them a discount from the regular price of $69, to $49. They were saving $20! It was an incredible deal! But I only had one response. Why? What did I do wrong?Unfortunately, I was forced to use a horrible, red border. It is HUGE!
