    Recently many people have been able to overcome craving and binge eating with very little effort, using an alternative treatment known as Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT. This is a simple and effective technique, which you can learn quickly and do anywhere, to deal with both chronic and acute cravings.

    What exactly is EFT? EFT is based on acupuncture and involves tapping on points on the face and upper body, whilst repeating phrases which relate to the emotional issue with which you are dealing. For example, you might say “Even thought I really want to eat that chocolate bar, I love and accept myself completely”. Or “Although I know I’ll be tempted to eat my grandmother’s cakes every Sunday”. Often EFT will trigger feelings related to situations in which you comfort eat. You can then tap on those feelings until the issue no longer has a negative impact. In this way, you can get rid of limiting beliefs which are sabotaging your attempts to lose weight. And EFT can be used for just about any area of your life which you would like to change.
