Mexican Manufacturing – Maquiladora Manufacturing Services in Baja, Mexico
Consumers in the United States spend almost seven trillion dollars each year on consumer goods. In order to tap into this lucrative market, many major companies manufacture their products in exotic locales such as China, India, or other Asian nations due to their cheap labor and lax trade restrictions. Unfortunately, few of the industries that export their capitol across the Pacific realize that they could save more money with one short trip across the southern border to the maquiladoras of CaliBaja based in Mex

I’ll be willing to bet you are overweight. Most of us are. Whether it’s a few extras pounds or a whole bunch, we’re fat. The fast food giants and junk-food manufacturers spend billions convincing us to eat their food. Even the so-called reduced fat kind are filled with calories. So we just eat more of those anyway, thinking we are cheating the scale. Restaurant portions are huge and my wife and I usually bring half home. But the rest of you don’t. So, what am I saying here? I’m saying that y

I just returned from my athletic club after a 50-minute workout. My wife and I do that five days a week. She’s 50 and I’m 58. We also have a few pieces of equipment in our home. So, why the investment and commitment to fitness? Well, the fact is that my mother died at age 50 from obesity and then my previous wife of 29 years, dropped dead from sudden heart attack brought on from decades of being overweight. Those two events certainly focused the issue for me. Keep in shape or die. I was never that heavy, but did put on some pounds here and there. I liked the sweets like most Americans and ate way too many carbs and starches. That was years ago and now I’m more careful regarding my diet. Enough about my background. I’m writing this article because of something I saw at the gym.

We have wide-screen plasma TV’s everywhere and I was watching Kevin T., the infomercial guru hawking his latest book. It was a miracle cure for overweight folk. Of course he couldn’t tell you much; you had to buy the $30 book. But he hinted that you didn’t have to diet or exercise. Just follow some kind of protocol and bingo! The weight is gone. He lost 45 pounds in two months following his own program, or so he claims. So, here’s another easy, miracle cure for being fat. Meanwhile, I’m sweating on the treadmill when I could be home eating cake and following his advice. Gee, what’s wrong with this picture?

What’s wrong is our entire concept of success. The harsh truth is that it’s not suppose to come easily. Whether you are losing weight or amassing a fortune, it takes hard work and commitment. There, I told you the only thing that makes sense. There is no magic bullet, potion or cure for great relationships, saving for retirement, or looking better. I watch the other male and female members who look terrific because they put in their gym time like we do. That is why they look the way they do. I’ll also bet they watch what they eat as well. After all, why jeopardize all that time and trouble in the workouts?

    Should You Become a Realtor?
Have you asked yourself that question lately? I did and I decided the answer was yes. Let me tell you what led up to it.I have been using realtors to purchase some of my investment properties. The Multiple Listing Services can be a great place to find properties, and one has to be a licensed realtor in the US to access them. I’m not sure what the laws are in other countries, so this discussion will be of only the US.Each time I buy a property, the realtor collects almost 3% at the closing, and in

Disordered Eating: Treatment and Nutritional Strategies
The Female Athlete ParadoxThere is indeed a paradox when it comes to female athletes and energy intake. On the one hand, they may need to consume a high calorie diet because of their extreme training intensity. On the other hand, they may feel that they are eating too much compared to non-athletes, they may develop self-imposed weight restrictions, and coaches may propose team-imposed weight limits. These factors can influence behaviors to the point where an athlete can develop disordered eating patterns. L

    Stomach Acid
Something must be going on with stomach acid. We've received over 50 emails in the last 30 days on stomach acid. Yes, we get 10,000 emails a month, but getting 50 on one topic is highly unusual. The questions on stomach acid were of all kinds mind you, but surprisingly, not one on what I would consider the most important issue: low stomach acid.Anyway, in this newsletter, we'll cover all aspects:* Stomach acid and digestion * Too much stomach acid * Too little stomach acid <

The Importance Of A Good Phone Message For Title Closers And Freelance Notary Signing Agents
Good and bad marketing extends beyond what you send to your customers. It is also, what you present to your clients about you and your business. During the years that I operated my Signing Service, I called many notaries to schedule appointments. For the most part the messages on their answering services were excellent. They sounded like "You have reached Cathy and I am not available right now, please leave a message and I will call you back." Good, but even better would have been “Hello this is Cathy you hav

I’m saying that you have to stop whining and do something before you end up like my wife and mother. If not, you’ll get heart problems, cause liver or kidney damage, retain clogged arteries and as a result, produce a shortened lifespan.

Back to the title question. Why are you still fat? You know the risks and yet, you are overweight, for a variety of reasons. Yet you refuse to do anything about it. The problem relates to an action. You have to get moving, quite literally. And you have to cut out the fat. Once you understand that, you will be on your way. When will you start and what will you do? How can someone who has been fat for years change their habits? It’s not easy, but it can be done with a few baby steps. First, you have to admit there is a problem. Then you have to chose a course to follow. Try that baby step.

So here’s the first one. Start moving. Skip TV and the computer and take anywhere form 15 to 30 minutes a day to walk. Grab your MP3 or buy one for 50 bucks. Walk around the block and listen to your favorite tunes. If it’s raining or snowing, walk around the house or just walk in place. Then, slowly rid your house of the junk food and substitute fruit, veggies, and nuts. Eat a healthy breakfast and try not to snack. Once again, there is no simple cure or way to beat the system. If you don’t do this, you will live a shortened life. It’s just about guaranteed, regardless of your genes. This is your body and your only shot at life. Treat them both with respect and no one will look at you again and think to themselves, there goes fatso. And you’ll be able to look in the mirror and smile.
