    Internships: Bonkers or Brilliant?
I have something to say that’s driving me batty. It’s regarding graduates who fuss about not getting a job they like or not getting a job at all for that matter. Blah blah di blah…Let me ask you something. Imagine a small town like ours with a limited number of companies, looking for limited vacancies to fill. There are thousands of graduates leaving universities each y
I had a disturbing conversation last night. I was talking to a friend of mine, and I was explaining to him how the world of online sales works, from the perspective of an Internet Marketer. After talking to him for about 15 minutes he let me know that he would no longer consider making purchases off of the Internet.

I was stunned. I couldn't believe that he was telling me that he was done with buying stuff off of the Internet. Too me its a real shock that someone would say this because I buy stuff online everyday, I can hardly even envision a world where I am not online.

Of course I asked him what had turned me off of Internet purchases. What he told me was really quite shocking. Here's what happened: He wanted to buy some new tires for his bike. He spent some time online and researched what he wanted. Eventually he found exactly what he was looking for. He placed his order online and was satisfied with his purchase. He has saved money and He was even able to place his order directly with the company that manufactures the items he wanted.

So thinking that everything was fine we sat there awaiting the arrival of his purchase. Surprisingly about a week later he received a phone call in regards to his order. Even though the order had gone through the credit card processing without a hitch the company wanted him to provide further information. They requested that he send in a photocopy of his driver's license or other picture ID, and a photocopy of the credit card he had used to place his order (both front and back!!).

    Product Review: Desktop Marketer Pro
Every time someone sends me an e-mail telling me that they've just discovered the "next big thing" in online marketing, I'm naturally a little bit skeptical. So when I received an e-mail from world-renowned Internet marketing expert Derek Gehl recently telling me that he had a "revolutionary" product he wanted to show me, I wasn't sure what to expect! It turns out

    Boosting Employee Morale Increases Productivity
The question asked by executives and managers – “How can I motivate my employees?” – is sometimes difficult to answer. Since each employee is motivated by a variety of difficult incentives, you need to find out what is of value for each person. Research shows that people often leave an employer because they haven't received the recognition they want, or feedback on how they ar
ted him to provide further information. They requested that he send in a photocopy of his driver's license or other picture ID, and a photocopy of the credit card he had used to place his order (both front and back!!).

Well obviously he refused to do so, and a dispute arose between him and the company before they ultimately agreed to send the merchandise that had already been paid for. So what should have been a simple order and transaction quickly turned into quite a hassle, and I understand why he is now reluctant to do further business with companies online.

Do occurrences such as this one mean that people will stop buying stuff online? No, of course not. Now that the Internet is here people will always be shopping online. However this doesn't mean that they will be willing to buy their stuff from just anyone. As more people get ripped off, and tell their friends and families about the negative experiences, I think we are just going to see more of a focus on buying stuff off of "The big boys". Sites such as Amazon.com and BestBuy.com that represent reputable companies have nothing to fear, its us "Little Guys" -- the unknowns, who are going to be in trouble.

So I'm just asking you all to remember that each time someone has a bad Internet purchasing experience, it reflects poorly on all Internet Marketers. Play nice out there and we will all benefit, break the rules and we will all suffer.
