    Employment Screening Lawsuits
No company or organization would ever want to go through employment screening lawsuits. This is often an expensive and time consuming process that is why employers should see to it that they will hire only the right persons suited for the positions. And to better avoid employment screening lawsuits, they should follow some simple precautions. Some tipsHiring the wrong employee can result to neg

Asking: A Key to Your Business Success
Many small business owners like us have a difficult time asking for business. It's not that we don't want the business, but wouldn't it be so nice if people just handed over their money for our product or service rather than our actually having to ask them for it?And this is one of the most common ways that small businesses stay really, really small, and sometimes peeter out altogether. They don't as
Let’s face it, most people don’t track their advertising at all and therefore don’t know where their leads or sales are coming from. I’ve talked with dozens of business owners about which online advertising vehicles work best for them. What I usually hear is that they are impressed with the sites that give them the highest number of clicks. Sure, clicks are encouraging, but do they tell the whole story?

No, the number of clicks or the cost per click (average CPC) does not tell the whole story. Not even close. At the end of the day, it’s not how much you spend per click that really counts – what’s important is how much you spend PER CONVERSION (a truly qualified prospect). And finally, of course, it’s the cost per sale that really matters.

I have been doing pay per click campaigns for some time now. The following are my findings after testing pay-per-click campaigns from September 2006 through February 2007 on the following search engines: Google, Yahoo, MSN, Mamma, Lycos, 7Search and GoClick.

Promotional Keyrings - Your Key to Business
People constantly come into your office and you are always sending out mail to new, potential clients. Did you know that most people will throw away an envelope that looks as if it’s direct mail but will open an envelope or package, especially if it feels like there is something inside of it?The low cost of promotional items like keyrings is indispensable. Everyone has keys and most people carry one

Your Not-For-Profit Fundraising Letter Programs Has Three Goals
Goal 1. Acquires donorsIf your organization is typical, you lose around 15 percent of your donors each year. They simply stop responding to your appeals.Fifteen percent is average, but it’s a terrifying percentage all the same. If your organization has 10,000 active donors today, and if 15 percent stop giving this year, then you will lose 1,500 donors. This is the main reason that

    Branding Your Products Is Important
I was chatting with a couple of friends, all of us are either copy writers or graphic designers…or both….in the advertising industry, so, naturally, our conversations leaned towards the topic. This one particular friend who works in an American advertising firm is now an Art Director, so, needless to say, he considers himself a notch higher than us mere freelancers and employees. After all, he is the one pe

Cleaning up a Car Wash Fundraiser Event
So many groups in our community like to do carwash fundraisers. In fact you can find carwash fundraisers on a sunny Saturday in almost any city in the United States. Unfortunately, what we do not see a lot of is post cleanup after the car wash fundraiser events. Having been the carwash industry for 27 years I am always interested in carwash fundraisers and often I will stick around and talk to people who

When testing, I chose the same keywords for each campaign and used separate but exact duplicate lead capture pages. This allowed me to see which keyword buys would give me the highest % of qualified prospects. My focus was the “Cost of Conversion” which was the percentage of people who requested more information about my program (a good prospect). My goal was to get clear indication as to the quality of the traffic coming from each search engine.

By taking the average cost-per-click and looking at the % of prospects that requested more information (Name, Phone # & E-mail Address), it gives me the real cost of a qualified lead. Following are the results:

    7Search -$0.67 (CPC) $4.04 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
Google -$0.83 (CPC) $5.46 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
MSN- $0.70 (CPC) $6.30 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
Mamma -$0.34 (CPC) $7.39 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
Yahoo -$0.81 (CPC) $8.45 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
Lycos -$0.12 (CPC) $17.14 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)
Go Click -$0.28 (CPC) $20 - (Cost of Qualified Lead)

The study was conducted over several months. After trying to tweak the Lycos and Go Click campaign for about a month,
