So one day you wake up and decide it’s time to improve your life. The obvious choice to you is to purchase a book that will tell them how to have a fuller, richer experience in life. You thumb over the hundreds of books available and decide on the one that you know will take you to the next level of happiness and fulfillment in your life. You read the book and take in all it has to offer. It doesn't sound too hard to make life better so you jump in and follow the guidelines laid out for you. Then life starts gets in your way. Family challenges arise. Some frustrations at work set in. Next thing you know, you've fallen back into your comfort zone on how to deal with stress and other daily challenges. You abandon the direction the book was offering because you don't "have the time" to put in the effort to facilitate the changes you say you want.

A few months go by, you’ve abandoned anything the book had to offer and you’re back to being unhappy with your life. This book collects dust and life goes on.

A few more months pass and you wake up with a new vision. This time, this time for certain, you’re going to really do it. You’re going to make that change to improve their lot in life. So off you head to the bookstore. It’s time to purchase another book because obviously the last book, home on the shelf, didn’t work! And the cycle begins again….

    Experience the Fun Factor
Are you the type to sing in your car? Play air guitar or air drums? I am, mostly to lost classic hair bands on my satellite radio. Having fun in what you do is critically important to the overall success of your business. If you are not having fun doing what you are currently doing, why are you doing it?You need to question why are you doing something if you are not enjoying it or having fun doing it. The fun factor

    How To Quit Your Job
There are a number of things to take into consideration before quiting your job. Quitting your job requires a plan of where you want to be. The first step in quitting your job is to put your mind into thinking through the process backwards. Anyone successful at doing this knows, that you first need to know where you are going. So to start, start at the end.As an exercise you can sit down with a pen and paper, and lock

Career Change - Beware - Non Average Job Salaries!
According to the Society of Human Resource Managers, US, 53% of all job applicants lie to some extent on their resume. What if you have been 'economical with the truth' on your 'home-made' resume/cv and, as a result - have been offered an outrageous salary? It happens!I guess the natural reaction would be to say that being 'Overpaid' is on balance a superior position but in fact, I believe in practice it is almost without
r small business owners is much the same cycle of excitement and frustration. Something catches our eye. We think it can get our sales moving in the right direction. We begin the new advertising campaign and for a few weeks, or even a few months, there is some real excitement, some real enthusiasm. But then life happens. Our expectations (which probably aren't realistic) aren't being met and we lose faith in what we are doing. We abandon the advertising and go back to the frustration we knew.

But down the road a few days or a few weeks, in walks another media sales person. They have a new idea that makes sense to us and we get excited that this may be the one! And off we go again.

The problem with both of these examples is that the reason for the failure is usually us. What are we doing to keep our marketing or advertising program healthy? Do we have our store or service program in order that each customer will receive our very best? Is every interaction with our business the best it can be for a customer? Are we telling the right story to the customer so they truly know why they should invest their time and money with us?

Before we abandon what we are doing and blame the tool being used, we must first look at ourselves and ask if we are doing all we can to give the tool (the book, the advertising medium, etc.) a real chance to make us successful.

Our years of working with small business owners have lead us to develop an easy to follow system for any business wanting to effectively market themselves. The key to this system, like the key to any of the books in the self-improvement section, let the information work for you. Give it time to work for you and follow the directions that are laid out! It really is that simple.
