If you do a Google search on the word 'secret’ you will find over 92-million websites revealing a plethora of secrets about one thing or another. You will find trade secrets, supermarket secrets, relationship secrets, house-buying secrets, nutritional secrets, safelist secrets, marketing secrets, health secrets, advertising secrets, and the list goes on ad infinitum.
Do you know that there are over 9-million websites that offer 's-ex secrets'? -- and some 19-million websites offering 'marketing secrets', which is my favorite by far. In my opinion, the word 'secret' is grossly over-used in marketing strategies.
A few -- and I do mean a few -- sites actually 'reveal' a technique or strategy that will help us in our search for better relationships, better nutrition or better marketing systems. But, the sad part is that most of these websites offer the same regurgitated information under a different cover -- with e -book publishers being the most notorious. This is a race run by unscrupulous marketers and self-styled gurus to see who can best re-work original content, call it their own, and then relieve you of your hard-earned dollars.
I am not saying there is anything wrong with getting branding rights to an e-book or using duplication to spread the word about a product or service -- that’s what marketing is all about. It is frustrating though to purchase an e-book with ostensible 'never before revealed secrets' -- only to find that your money was spent on previously published information in another e-book -- or worse yet, available on the internet for free.
Let's take a look at this realistically. Are there really 9- million ways to improve your s-ex life? And are there really 19-million secret ways to improve your marketing techniques? That is just too silly. I have concluded that there are no magical or 'secret' formulas for success in anything other than hard work, passion and determination -- and let us not forget integrity.
I mean, does anyone really have the secret to success, the secret to better relationships or the secret to life? For example, most of the 'secret-to-success' books” are about hard work, belief, determination, etc. We have known this secret since we were children. It is not a secret!
In my infancy in Internet marketing I fell for numerous 'snake-oil schemes' that ended up costing me precious time and money. It is likely that I looked at hundreds if not thousands of so-called opportunities that promised the moon but in reality delivered only oceanfront property in Arizona.
