When I complete a large flooring job and earn a good commission I call my customer on my cell phone and tell them I'm in the neighborhood and ask if I could stop and see their new flooring. Almost all invite me to stop. I check out the job my installers did and make sure the customer is happy. I then give them a free gift such as a sample spot cleaner. If it's a particularly large job I may even bring them a bottle of wine or a gift certificate to a good local restaurant. When is the last time you made a large purchase and the person who sold it to you stopped by your home to make sure you were happy with it? Never, right?
