We had been e-mailing each other about an article I was submitting to her website, when I mentioned I had to leave for the "gyn" and then off to my day job. She thought I meant the "gym". (I had mentioned my love of power-walking in other correspondences) She wrote back groaning to me that she should be going as well, but didn't have the energy to get there. When I explained my actual destination she laughed and mentioned that I should really write an article/column on my need to stay fit. I get more than a fit body from my 45 minutes a day. When I put on my I-Pod, grab my pooch and little blue bag and head out the door I claim this as my "me" time. I clear my head, reduce my stress, put myself in a wonderful mood (especially true if I've had a trying day) which rejuvenates my outlook and creativity. I'm a much nicer person to live with for having given myself this time alone with only nature and my furry companion.
