No One Wants to Read Your Resume
It is a sad truth. No one wants to read your resume. Hiring managers would absolutely love it if they didn't have to read another resume for the remainder of their careers. Why? Reading resumes is boring. Well, that statement needs to be qualified a bit. Most resumes are boring to read. Some resumes are amusing with their erroneous mistakes and unusually worded assertions.Even though no one wants to read your resume – or anyone else's – resumes do get read each and every day because that is the way people most often get jobs. Gold Investing
Gold investing is a low-risk type of long-term investment.Gold is slightly more risky than bonds, so you should be careful to pay attention to this. The reason for this is that while gold is used in some industries, it does not necessarily need to be worth as much money as it is. Also, part of the reason that gold is worth so much money is due to its comparative rarity. If the markets were to become flooded, chances are good that you would lose money. However, gold has a tendency to stay relatively stable, or to increase its value, over time. How stable is go
For years green tea has been all the rage in alternative health circles - its cardiovascular benefits have been well documented. And with all the media hype surrounding anti-oxidants as of late green tea has quickly turned from an exotic eastern import into an American staple.

But as it turns out there’s another hot tasty beverage that’s been hiding in the shadows just waiting for the right moment to take its place among the new wave of heart healthy treats.

Fresh Hot Cocoa – according to a recent research report published in the Archives of Internal Medicine foods rich in cocoa appear to have much greater success in reducing high blood pressure than both green and black teas.

According to their research test subjects that consumed foods containing real cocoa for at least 2 weeks saw a decrease in the blood pressure levels that was on par with subjects taking commonly prescribed blood pressure medications.

And researchers concluded that such a drop would effectively lower ones risk of suffering from a heart related illness such as a heart attack and stroke by as much as 10-20%!

The researchers did note that cocoa and green tea both contain polyphenols (a super potent anti-oxidant shown to prevent many forms of cardiovascular disease) but that those found in cocoa were much more dynamic.

Now a lot of you might find it hard to believe that a tasty treat like chocolate could do so much for your heart. But their research actually ties right in with a study I reported on in the January 17th issue of the NatureCast News.

During that study researchers at the University of L’Aquila in Italy examined the effects of dark chocolate on hypertension (high blood pressure) and what they found was equally impressive.

The participants in this study all had a systolic blood pressure reading between 140 and 159 and a diastolic blood pressure scores between 90 and 99. None of the participants were on blood pressure medication of any kind –and were free of diabetes and other diseases.

After a 1 week period where subjects didn’t consume any chocolate -- participants in group A were given 3.5 ounces of white chocolate to consume daily (has all the same ingredients as dark chocolate without the beneficial flavonoids). While participants in group B were fed 3.5 ounces of dark chocolate daily.

And the results after just 15 days of testing were quite impressive - a 12 mm HG (millimeters of mercury) decrease in systolic blood pressure levels and a 9 mm HG (millimeters of mercury) decrease in diastolic levels in the dark chocolate group.

However, there were no changes noted in the white chocolate control group. An impressive comparison – especially considering the length of the study was only 15 days.

Most health experts would agree that foods rich in flavonoids should be an integral part of a healthy balanced diet. And now along with cranberries, kale, apples and onions – we can add good old dark cocoa to the list.

Just remember – make sure you’re using real dark cocoa not a powdered cocoa mix, milk chocolate or white chocolate. Unfortunately they don’t contain any of the free radical fighting anti-oxidants of real cocoa.

Not to mention milk chocolate and powdered cocoa mixes are loaded with sugar and saturated fat. So shop smart - and enjoy!

Three Reasons Why Senator Hillary Clinton Won't Be President
Here are the reasons...1.) Nancy PelosiFor anyone thinking far enough ahead, it's an easy decision to not elect Hillary Clinton as President of the U.S. It's already daunting enough for most people to imagine a woman as President of this country, but for the fearful and uncertain voters it only gets worse. As remote as the possibility may seem, what if "President" Hillary Clinton and her vice-President were to (God forbid) suffer personal tragedy in our terrorist-infested world and were rendered incapable of performing dutie

    Effective Questioning in Negotiation
Effective questioning is a powerful and often underused skill in negotiation. Asking questions has many benefits.1. It gives you a better chance of answering the brief effectively.2. It shows the client you care about their business.3. The information you acquire and the way in which you interpret the information can really help you establish how interested the client is in buying from you.4.It helps to establish rapport. It is also a natural progression to listening. Business Mentoring Resources for Small Business Owners
Many successful business owners have one thing in common - most of them utilize mentors. Having a mentor holds many benefits, including giving you the extra push you need to grow your business. However, finding a mentor who is willing to volunteer their time to provide guidance and advice is often difficult to do. Some mentors often charge outrageous consultation fees which many small business owners cannot afford. Fortunately, there are some ways to find mentors that won't cost anything but your time.Clubs and Organizations There are many local c

    Choosing a College Savings Plan
There are two basic types of tax-free college savings plans, the Coverdell educational savings account and the 529 savings account. Each has advantages and disadvantages depending on the situation of the individual family.529 college savings plans allow parents, and in some cases grandparents and other family members, to contribute tax-deferred money to a savings account earmarked for college. The money gains tax-free interest and there is no tax assessed on the principle if it is withdrawn to cover eligible college expenses. The current tax rules will be in effect
