Ironically, the most harm that will come from head lice is not from the lice themselves, but from the horrible chemicals we've been conditioned to put on our scalps to get rid of them. That is why I strongly suggest natural treatments for getting rid of head lice, which I will get to momentarily. The point I am trying to make here, however, is that you should not use harmful chemicals to get rid of your head lice. They will do more harm than good. Trust me on this.

Okay, so how do we get rid of head lice once we have them? Believe it or not, the easiest way, though it does take a while, is to comb out your hair each day. Get a brand new, never used comb, and just comb out your hair everyday. It will take about two weeks, but after the two weeks is up, your head lice should be gone. If you're in a hurry, and granted this is a little extreme, simply shave your head. Head lice will have nothing to grab onto and will be gone almost instantly. At the very least, get a very short haircut before doing the comb out. This will help a lot.
