WE ARRIVED FORTY MINUTES TOO LATE MY MOTHER WAS DEAD!

My sister was crying and saying sorry mummy over and over I ran in to see what was wrong my mum was dead and all I could feel was numbness and feeling that I let her down far too often! One thing helped me was when my mother came home from the nursing home was a voice in my head saying “she is not here to play but to die” but I did not know how long and when she would die ?

Around two months earlier my mum was lying there in bed and she was perplexed about me as she had dementia and did not know who I was but she was not afraid of me. So I asked God what could he do to help my mum and he said “anything you ask for I will do”

So what was I to ask for knowing my mum was going to die soon?

I asked for this God Please let mummy know who I am and let us have some time. He said nothing but I said in the name of Jesus be healed and as I said this I put my hand on my mum’s head she looked at me in a puzzled look.

Oh by the way she knew who we all were!

I went out that day after coming home my Mum was all smiles and she for the first time in eight years was looking so radiant and she was talking at first in babies talk the she spoke, “Hey you give me a cigarette.”

We said, “ Hey you ,you don’t smoke anymore.”

She said, “Oh I forgot.” Then she said, “I want to go to the toilet.”

We took her there and she went to the toilet her self for many years she had to use nappies for adults and she was putting up a fuss saying “I know how to go” She could not walk as she has had a hip operation a while ago!

As you can see I am very child like saying all this to you but I am mum’s big kid! She the said she was hungry and she gobbled the food down fast this time and she asked for more man this was so exiting and she ate like she did not eat for weeks!

She said to me as I waved to her “Hello Johnny” this is my mum’s way of saying Yianni. I was as happy as this was all I ever wanted was for her to be happy!

The next two days mum got rushed to hospital. And she was very sick but my dad thought she would be coming home but she did not come! I miss you smile around here mum and her Greek cooking!

I was on the internet that night and God said to me clearly, “Yianni I have something very important to say “

I said what is it God he said “mum is going to die today and you can’t pray for her to live like you did before and you have to let me take her”!

I said yes but why can’t I pray for her He said, “You can pray this for me to take her”!
