Governance is an important factor in maintaining a healthy community thus having weak authority may lead to downfall of the community. This flaw led to the failure of the common services offered by their government, such as education, trade and health, which contributed largely in the volatility of the community. The leaders of the EAC were not quite communicated with each other mainly because the headquarters of the EAC was located in Kenya which gave the feeling that Kenya was having the lion’s share between the three countries. With all these predicaments, economic problems of the three countries became severe and their economy status eventually fell. There was no federation as a result, EAC had no choice but to either break-up or create a new structure that would be acceptable for the three countries.
