    The Best Kind of Advertising
He was a little old man, and he was confused. All around him were huge, confusing technological marvels, and he had no clue what he was really looking for...or at, for that matter.I was on commission, so the higher-end merchandise meant a bigger commission for me.I began by asking him what he was trying to do.It was simple. He had a huge record collection (you remember records, right?), and he just wanted to sit and listen to Bing Crosby, The Andrews Sisters, Perry Como, Dean Mart

Recent Changes in Corporate Business Ethics
If you look at Big Business as a consumer you will find some startling changes in common sense business ethics. Banks are defending themselves from class action lawsuits due to unethical practices in charging absurd fees for everything from withdrawing your money to closing your accounts. Banks are percieved as being highly ethical due to the fudiciary nature of the business, yet here they are being sued for precisely the opposite. Cell phone service providers, cable providers and a host of other huge n
    Good Job!

So now that you’ve done your job and convinced Jane Doe to give to your non-profit organization, you’ve just processed the payment - now what?

You could move on to other “important” things like making sure the coffee machine is stocked with fresh grounds and Jimmy has the new mechanical pencils he requested OR you could do something small that will make a huge impression on the new donor.

    Now Is The Time

The most important time to make an impression on someone is right after they give to your nonprofit. There could be donors-remorse (not sure if your charity was the “right” one to give to) or they could be approached by another nonprofit (stealing future donations from your nonprofit). To increase the chances of future gifts, joining your membership, yearly gifts even estate gifts – you should send the donor a quick email (or snail mail) letting him/her know that you appreciate what they just did.

    Jane Doe
    123 Main Street
    Any City, ST 55555
(TIP insert actual donor information here)

Dear Jane (TIP insert actual donor name here),

Good day. We just received your kind donation of $123 dollars (TIP insert actual donation amount here). You won’t believe how much this will help us. It is my job to disperse new funds to the activity that will do the most good for saving St. John’s Bay water resources (TIP insert your actual nonprofit mission here).

One of the things your donation is going to do is provide funding to the underwater scientists that analyze the supply of water coming in from the lakes to the west. Every time you see St. John’s Bay you should be proud of the fact that YOU directly contributed to its preservation. As you know our battle to save the bay has been going on for years, ever since the illegal dumping took place (TIP give a few lines of where the money will be going and how that helps the mission). We have a long road ahead of us and we look forward to making a positive difference with your help.

Your name will be added to the “Wall of Hope” at our main offices for all visitors to see – please come by anytime (TIP let the donor know if they get any benefits/promotion from the gift).

We are truly blessed to receive your gift, thank you.

Franchise Opportunity - Questions To Ask The Franchisor - #34
Finding The Right FranchiseWhether it’s hamburgers, pizza, telecom, coffee, Internet, muffler parts, or seniors’ services, there are Franchise opportunities available to evaluate. There are great Franchise systems, good Franchise systems, and bad Franchise systems. The challenge is to ask the right questions to find the right system that will fit your goals and dreams. The key is to ask the questions – and listen closely to the responses. Only then can you determine if the Franchise opportunity i

What You Should Know About the PH Scale
The pH scale determines the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. The scale ranges from 0 to 14. At the 0 end of the scale is where solutions are very acidic. Moving up around 2 on the scale is the rating for lemon juice, around 3 is vinegar, beer and cola. Pure water has a pH of 7, which is neutral. As you move up the scale from 7, solutions become more alkaline (some chemicals in this range are commonly referred to as bases).
