Time for a New Canadian Party
It is time for a change. A change in philosophy, a change in the 3 party system. A change in politicians not being held accountable for promises they had no intention of delivering. It is time for a new political party to emerge from the sham that is the Canadian so-called democratic system. Here are some of the changes I propose a new party based on the following positions:On the Armed ForcesThe Canadian Army, Navy and Air Force should follow the examples set in the corporate world. With our ties to the U.S, Canada should streamline its military divisions into one entity. This new Armed Forces would be split into 3 sub-groupsSpecial Forces: Trained to deal with specialized situations; reconnaissance, mine

So how can you be a Good Samaritan from this day on?

First you might want to consider what Solomon had to say about people who have much sorrow in their lives.

Proverbs 31:6-7 6 Give strong drink to him who is perishing, and wine to those who are bitter of heart. 7 Let him drink and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.

If you cannot give them two dollars for their next need, perhaps you might want to buy them a meal and give it to them.

The people on the street need to see the love and mercy of God. You might be surprised if you speak to them that many of them are already in the faith of Christianity.

Give them two dollars and a short tract or take them for a meal and give them a tract.

And soon enough you will be a Good Samaritan to these folks who suffer on your streets with no warm houses.

    Let me pray for you.

    Dear Father

I realise that today I am not being loving toward my neighbour. From today I want your Spirit to convict me to give each time I walk down the street. Give me the courage to get some tracts and start

    Luke 10:24-40 (New International Version)

25On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

26"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?"

27He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbour as yourself.'"

28"You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."

29But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbour?"

30In reply Jesus said: "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33But a Samaritan, as he travelled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. 35The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.'

36"Which of these three do you think was a neighbour to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?"

37The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him."

Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise."

This parable was told by Jesus in response to the question, Who is my neighbour?”

To properly get this parable in today’s context let me illustrate to you who the man that was robbed and stripped half naked and left half dead by the side of the road is.

That man today is a homeless man in your city and you can spot them quite easily as a lot of the time they have a cardboard sign with writing on it that is a message and a plea for help. Most of the time they are not dressed well, sometimes they have not showered in a while and some of them can be quite smelly.

Now that we know that homeless person is the modern neigbour that we are to love just as ourselves, we have to ask ourselves are we the neigbour having mercy on him?

Three men are mentioned in the parable. Let us look at them closely.

First a priest came past and crossed by on the other side.

Do you know what that is the equivalent of? That is seeing the homeless person with their sign and right away looking in the other direction so that he cannot meet your gaze and ask for you help.

Now this guy was a priest so let us say this is your pastor who preaches and admonishes people not to give money to homeless people and who also walks past them and does not give money when asked.

The second guy is a Levite, from the priestly tribe. As all ambassadors for Christ we would more fit into this guy’s description. But what does he do? The same as the priest. He walks past on the other side of the road.

Do you do that? Do you cross the road so you don’t have to face them?

Or do you meet their gaze and give them money when they ask you?

Do you know that the Good Samaritan was not only not a Jew but he did a lot more then give two dollars; he took the man to an inn, paid for a doctor and paid for his food and lodgings.

There is popular myth by good hearted Christians that we cannot give money to these people as they only spend it on drugs or booze and we do them no service in giving them money.

I have an ex homeless guy living in my apartment. He is ex US Navy and his pension in only $1100 Australian a month. He tells me that almost half of your homeless in the USA are guys that are ex military who can’t afford to live in rented accommodation. From Australia I hear many great swelling words of pride you have for your army and the US government that you are in love with and yet then I hear that those that have served and fought for your country are most often the homeless on your streets.

What a state you have? To serve your country and then be neglected on the streets with a pension so low they can’t afford to pay rent plus eat and pay bills.

For all the good hearted Christians who don’t want to contribute to his drinking problem, perhaps you can buy him a fresh meal. Most of you can’t take him home and clean him up or offer him a room in your house as he stinks and he has no money to help you out, and he would be a burden.

So how can you be a Good Samaritan from this day on?

How To Make Sure That Your Legitimate Marketing Emails Are Not Identified As Spam
If your business relies on email marketing to get your message through to your customers, you might want to pay attention to this.
