Without discussing the philosophy of war from moral standpoint and understanding that war is part of what it is to be human one still has to wonder what the future of warfare will hold? Will machines go out and do our bidding and kill those in other regions, whose leadership has reached a political impasse, where negotiation is out of the question? If so what will these machines look like, how will they kill and how efficient will they become? Can they be stopped? Will robotic killing machines rule the day, swarm warfare tactics be the norm and will all this occur within the geometric grid of a net-centric modern warfare dome of destruction?

What about non-lethal weapons, will they become a more human way to control? Will putting your enemy asleep be a better strategy? What about the present period of stealth, smart munitions and unmanned aerial vehicles? Will all these technologies come together putting the mod
