“Don’t be bothered by them,” I was told. The trash talkers weren’t the ones I was bothered by. It was the people who secretly agreed and wouldn’t speak up.

I didn’t understand it. The people who secretly agreed felt passionately about the issue at hand. Why didn’t they say anything? Were they all talk, no action? Were they fearful of losing their popularity in the group?
