    Description
The Nokia N70 is the successor of the popular 6680. Similar to its predecessor, it is built for the WCMDA/GSM 900/1800/1900 networks. The N70 comes bundled with a 64 MB MMC card in the sales package which you can transfer files. It also has Bluetooth connectivity. The N70 is also based on the Symbian OS, making the phone an open platform for the most variety of applications written in Java or Symbian. The phone supports the following formats JPEG, MP3, PPT, DOC, XLS, and PDF. The major improvement over 6680 is its 2megapixel camera that can be used for video sharing and recording or camera using the smooth 20 x digital zoom, integrated LED-based flash, and high-quality lens provided, it also supports Nokia XpressPrint printing solution makes producing great prints of images. You can even hookup a Keyboard to the phone using Bluetooth. Measuring just 108.8 x 53 x 17.5 mm, the Nokia N70 is the smallest ever 2 mega pixel 3G smart phone based on the leading Series 60 Platform. It is also lighter than the 6680.

    Features
From a technical perspective, it's a GSM 900/1800/1900 phone. The N70 also comes with integrated Bluetooth and supports Pictbridge printing for ease of photo printing. On the software side, the N70 supports visual radio applications, comes with RealPlayer installed as well as a small suite of business-type applications. Of all the N series mobiles, this is the one that you're most likely to convince your manager to buy you for the office, if only because the leisure applications are better hidden than with the clearly musical or photo aspirations of the other N series mobiles. Connectivity is once again provided by Nokia's PC Suite Software. Like the N90, the N70 features a 2.0 Mega pixel camera with a surprising amount of clarity for a mobile phone camera. The N70 offers up to 22MB of internal memory for storage. With the quantity of downloadable 3G data out there, not to mention the phone's inbuilt music and photo offerings, that's likely to be gobbled up rather quickly. For additional storage the N70 uses RS-MMC (reduced size Multimedia Card). The slot for these is on the right hand side of the phone, and our test sample came with a 128MB RS-MMC card.

The camera's good and there's a nice music player for your MP3s - it supports iTunes-friendly the AAC format too, though not songs downloaded from Apple's online music store. Sure, it has its idiosyncrasies - size, the lack of flight mode - and the battery's life could be (much) better, but the N70 won me over despite that. A great all-rounder.
