There will usually be a sort option somewhere in the menu system that will allow you to sort by just about any field in any database in the system. What will then happen is that the system will take each dollar amount for each doctor in the system and store it in an array variable. After the program is done running, it will print out the total of that array variable for each doctor. To print from high to low or low to high will usually require choosing another option in the sort function.
Fortunately, if you're a medical billing person, these reports are usually very straight forward and very easy to read, which is a good thing because programming these generators is anything but easy.
