    Fiber Optics Training
Although fiber optics training is advertised by many institutions, only some conform to international standards. Fiber optics training involves a comprehensive, integrated teaching program that meets the requirements of designers, installers and consumers of fiber optic products.A vast range of short and long term certificate courses are offered in the field of electro-optic devices and all-optical networking systems. There is an entire branch of engineering dedicated to the training of fiber optics. The optics courses cover all the areas of optical fiber telecommunications and networking systems, optical data communications, optical integrated devices, optoelectronic technology, optical measurements, and micro-fabrication processing for optical devices.Fiber Optic Association (FOA), an international non-profit association, is one of the leading promoters of professionalism in fiber optics. It offers around 100 certified training programs developed and maintained by experts in the fiber optic business. Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) and Certified Fiber Optic Specialist (CFOS) are the FOA’s two levels of fiber optic certification. Key features of the courses are fiber optics installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance techniques.Companies such as NASA, Cisco, Panduit, Daimler-Chrysler and Mead Paper use FOA certification in their own training programs. Fiber Optic Training and Consulting (FNT) and RWM Fiber Optics are among the other important institutes, providing fiber optic training and certification for both specific manufacturers and industry organizations.Fiber optics courses provide tremendous job opportunities, such as designing components, designing systems, installing networks, training and teaching, and manufacturing fiber, lasers, etc. Regarding worker credentials, designing component jobs usually require holders of degrees in physics or chemistry. Depending on the technical nature of the job, the manufacturing jobs possess differing requirements; some need manual skills and others may require higher technical education. Electronic engineers undertake the design of fiber optics systems. The installing networks job requires people ski

Why Mid-Life Women are Pursuing Entrepreneurship in Greater Numbers
We are seeing remarkable things happening in the world of entrepreneurship. The concept of retirement is being redefined by scores of women who are either continuing to manage or starting to run their own business, proving that age is not a barrier to financial success and personal achievement. Whether starting a business out of economic necessity or pursuing a dream long put on hold, women in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and even older are finding new outlets for their creative spirit. According to the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), there are close to 4 million women business owners over age 40 and the number continues to grow as Baby-Boomer women approach retirement. To find out more about what drives mid-life women to become entrepreneurs, I conducted interviews with close to 100 women in their late 40s and older who had started their own business. The main reasons for starting a business cited by the women I interviewed included a desire for financial and personal independence, a need to do something creative, and the chance to pursue a lifelong dream. Like many other Baby Boomers, these women did not feel they were ready to embrace a life of rest and relaxation. They were looking for stimulation and a desire to do something meaningful and personally rewarding with the second half of their lives. When asked what success meant to them, most women defined the concept in terms of their capacity to help others, the chance to make a contribution to the community, and their ability to find pleasure in what they were doing. The words fun and passion were repeatedly expressed. The excitement in their voices was electrifying.Although they did not cite the usual symbols of business success such as profit, size, and growth as driving forces in their ventures, this does not mean that the women viewed financial success as unimportant. Freedom from financial worry was definitely seen as desirable. However, the creation of wealth by itself, was not the primary motivation for starting a business.Despite the overwhelmingly positive attitude toward running a business, the women did identify some problems. These included lack of support from family an
Most companies today, whether large or small, are experiencing data overload.  According to industry studies, many organizations are finding that they have to double their storage capacities every six to 12 months.  With recent regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA and others requiring businesses to accurately record and report and thus generate more data, this explosion of data will not subside anytime soon.  In fact, as additional regulations are being anticipated for banking and other industries it is likely to continue it’s rapid increase.

To protect your mission-critical data and keep your company up and running, certainly having an efficient backup and recovery solution is key.  However, in order to achieve and maintain backup efficiency, categorizing and organizing your data is also important, not only to ensure that necessary files are backed up but to minimize costs.  Today, this is an especially complex task given remote offices and more and more mobile devices in use.

First and foremost, administration of data protection procedures must be centralized in order to maintain consistency and control.  This will ensure that branch office data is also adequately protected.  It is then incumbent upon the administrator to encourage the branch offices to save any and all data to the server, rather than on local hard drives, so that it can be backed up in accordance with the set backup schedule.

Categorizing your files into different groups with different backup schedules can help reduce your costs considerably. Blogging For Money: The Four Step Process To Success
So you want to make money with blogs? Good decision! Blogging for money is a simple and enjoyable way to build a presence online and make some cash while you’re at it. Actually, blogging for money is the bread and butter of internet marketing in this day and age, and there are millions of people making a small fortune doing it.The first thing you need to do is make a decision as to whether you wish to blog about a subject that deeply interests you (hobbies, sports, politics, pop culture, yourself!), or whether you wish to build a blog which is primarily designed to be a money maker. If you choose the latter, you will need to identify a niche market that you can blog to. This can be almost anything, from horticulture to antiques, but the more targeted the better. For example, instead of targeting the general antiques market, aim for 19th century French ceramics. After you’ve decided the subject of your blog, you will then need to register with a blogging host. The most popular blogging hosts are Blogspot and Wordpress, both of which offer their service for free. Just go to their websites, follow the instructions and get your blog up and running. You can then spruce up the look of your blog by choosing between pre-designed templates, colours, fonts and designs. The penultimate stage is to monetise your blog. There are two main ways in which to do this. The first is to add Google Adsense to your blog, and the second is to add affiliate links. Google Adsense is an advertising scheme in which advertisers pay a pre-determined sum of money to have their adverts placed across Google search pages and websites; as a blog publisher, you can add the advertising from Adsense on your blog and get paid every single time a visitor clicks on one of the ads. Google Adsense is absolutely free to sign up to. The second method of monetisation is affiliate links, which are simple text links or banners from vendors who are selling products. Typically you can expect a 50 - 60% commission on sales of digital products. Go to Clickbank to sign up for affiliate sites. The final stage is to actually drive traffic to your site! If you’re blogging for money, then you’re going to need actual

Do You Dream Big Dreams For Your Online Business?
I received an e-mail from someone this week, and it became apparent to me that he simply didn't believe that he could make anything work... He didn't believe that he could start making the money that he told me he wanted to make...He WANTED to make it, but he didn't BELIEVE he could!I'm a strong believer in the saying that you are where you want to be... For example, you live where you do because you choose to, and you earn as much as you do because that’s what you’ve chosen to earn...'Hold on! I want to earn more than I do at the moment...' I hear you cry!!Well, I’ve been there too and unless I changed my belief and my habits (good or bad)... nothing was ever going to change.Indeed, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results...So, how did I, and how do you, make changes to what we believe... and, in turn, what we achieve?Well, for me, I didn’t believe that I should live in a large house, drive a sports car, or even work for myself. So, if I believed that... I certainly wasn't going to 'realise' that lifestyle.Does that make sense? However, once I’d had enough of what I was doing...(and for me this was commuting each and every day, having to answer to a boss, working long hours and not earning enough money for all my hard work...)I needed to change my belief... My belief of where I saw myself and what I saw myself doing.I hope you’re still with me, as this is crucial to where you are and what you’re doing in 12 months time, 2 years time and even 10 years time.So what do you need to do?Well, you really do need a goal, a visual representation of where you see yourself in 2 months time, 4 months time, and 6 months time...Close your eyes and picture yourself in front of your new house, or sitting in your office at home – working for yourself... Driving your new car, or planning that luxury holiday you’ve always wanted... and enjoying your financial freedom that your new home-based online business has given you. Now, what do you need to change... in order to make this happen? For me, I was wasting a few hours here and there watch

Emerge From Vicious Circle of Debts-Debt Consolidation Finance
These days’ coping with everyday expenses has become a trouble. For fulfilling our financial requirements most of us try to seek refuge in loans, without giving a thought to how we will be repaying it. As a result, we end up having piles of loans on our study table. If due care is not taken in time, this may even lead to missed or non repayment resulting in bad credit. As a precautionary measure, it is advised to go for debt consolidation finance. Debt consolidation finance enables you to merge your multiple debts in to a single one and thus, makes repayment all the more easier. If we talk in more simplified terms, debt consolidation finance refers to a loan by which you can easily consolidate your earlier debts in to a new one. This new loan is more manageable in terms of repayment of the loan amount. For instance, if a borrower has taken loans from five different creditors and finding it difficult to repay it, with the help of debt consolidation finance, he can easily combine his different debts in a single one. This can help a great deal in minimising the rates and even getting discounts by conferring your financial status to your creditors. Moreover, you will be free from all those threatening calls of your lenders regarding the repayment of the loan amount, as your lender will be tackling with all your lenders. For debt consolidation finance, you can borrow an amount ranging from ?5000 to ?75000, along with a repayment period of 5 to 25 years. However, it is usually advised to borrow up to a limit, which you require and can repay easily. For debt consolidation finance you can search various online sources. There you will find a large number of lenders at a single place, offering debt consolidation finance.

Selling On Ebay Or Is There More?
For many people they see eBay as the opportunity for them to make money online and as well all know it can be done and in some cases with relative ease. However there’s more to selling on eBay than just selling on eBay!Now you may be feeling some what confused by that but, hang on in there.Let’s consider a simple scenario. You are an eBay seller with an eBay Store and you specialise in all things gardening, tools, ornaments, books etc. Business is ticking over your making sales which is great but where are your customers coming from? Are your customers ‘one time buyers’ or repeat buyers? If your customers are ‘one time buyers’ then you are going to have a hard time making your business sustainable. Imagine a shop where they only ever sell to a customer once – they might be doing a roaring trade but somewhere along the line they are going to run out of customers!Your eBay customers need to be turned in to repeat buyers. You need them to trust you and come back to you when they need something else. So how are you going to achieve this?First thing to do is make sure you are offering your customers great value and great service. That first purchase is they key to your future relationship with your buyer. If they go away feeling they have not had a fair deal or had bad service then the chances are they won’t be back. On the other hand if they have a good experience the door is open for you to start building a relationship. So how do you go about building a relationship? OK when you customer made their purchase you were given their email and shipping address so you have the information you need to enable you to communicate with them. Now whatever you do don’t go blasting them with sales pitches for everything you have unless you want to turn them off or even worse have them report you to eBay!What you need to do is consider what each customer has purchased and how you might be able to help them in the future. For example if someone has purchased a bag of grass seed then there is a fair bet they are interested in their lawn. You could included in the package you send them a letter offering them a free ebook or report about how to achi

This process will help you determine how often your data should be backed up and how long it should be stored.

    • Does the data support a critical business function?
    • Does the data support a legal or auditing concern?
