It is not APA style. It is simply different. It is more conversational. It's more for the purpose of giving good information, driving traffic, building a list, and selling products.

This notion of writing like you talk may come natural for some folks like it does for me. It may be a stretch for other folks. That's OK, because you will be willing to stretch because of the good stuff that comes back from article writing and marketing.
