Did The IFA Sell The Franchising Industry Down the River? p>The Federal Trade Commission has now completed its new revision of the Franchise Rule, a set of regulations, which has not been changed since the 1970s if you can believe it? Outrageous to think that the Federal Government could be so inept or non-responding to the needs of the free market or the Franchising Community, which represents nearly 1/3 of every consumer dollar spent in the United States of America. One of the larger Franchise Organizations for the Industry, which is filled with lawyers, as well as franchisors, consultants and franchisees is the International Franchise Association, which recently put out a Press Release to its members about the new Law and Regulation changes by the Federal Trade Commission. In this press release they alerted media sources and the Industry of the phase in period of these new regulations in franchising, unfortunately the rules and regulations are still too restrictive and burdensome.Indeed, it appears that after 10-years of input from the Franchising Industry on potential rule changes, not very much has actually changed other than the separation of the Business Opportunities from the Franchise Industry. This is because Business Opportunities have been the cause of so much consumer harm and the franchising industry none if any really.Still one has to ask and in fact I ask, why didn’t the IFA International Franchise Association go to bat for the Industry to curtail some of this over re freeze..........turn to ice frieze..........a wall decoration friar...........a monk fryer...........small chicken gaff............a barbed spear gaffe...........a mistake gage............a pledge or security deposit gauge...........instrument for measuring gait............a manner of walking or running gate............fence door gaited..........describing a walking horse gated...........having a gate galley..........ship's kitchen gally...........to frighten or terrify gallop..........horse's fastest gait galop...........a round dance gene............a chromosome jean............cotton twill gild............coat with gold gilled..........having gills guild...........a craft society gilt............gold-plated guilt...........culpable gin.............alcoholic beverage jinn............plural of jinni, a Muslim spirit or demon gnawed..........chewed nod.............head tilting gneiss..........coarse-grained metamorphic rock of feldspar, quartz and mica nice............pleasant gnu.............African antelope knew............past tense of know new.............not old, unused gnus............several antelope news............timely information gored...........pierced by an animal's horns gourd...........fleshy fruit with hard skin gorilla.........large ape guerrilla.......freedom fighter grade...... A Key Travel Business Opportunity For Sustained Sales Growth Below you will find a little list to help you out. I have not only alphabetize them but cross-referenced them as well.Question: What is one of the easiest ways to get a sustained increase in sales in your travel business?Answer- track and monitor the amount of people you give a quote to versus the number people who buy. Look at ways of improving the conversion rate to sale. Now this sounds simple but in theory hardly any travel business or any business does this effectively. But I am convinced after coaching 146 businesses that this is one of the easiest ways to get sustained improvement. Please consider this example: If ten people come through your travel business and all get a quote from you for some future travel arrangement. Obviously some will buy; usually 30% of people on average. Consider the ramifications if you were able to double this ratio to 60% over a 12 month period. If you can do this you have just doubled your business. What a great travel business opportunity this is. And I assure you it is possible. So how do we achieve a higher conversion rate to sale? The idea is to have uniqueness about how you deliver information to your enquirer. The worst thing you can do is to give a quote out just like your competitors. You need to stand out.The best thing to do is to add as much information into your quoting system to really impress upon people all the advantages and benefits of dealing with your agency. You see there is more to everyone’s decision than just price. Fundamental Concept of List Building o napFirst with some background. Why build a list or lists? Over the course of the last ten years, people have developed products to sell online and have created fortunes targeting the right people to who to sell. By creating a product and an exciting sales page, one could drive visitors to the sales page, convert a percentage of them, and make money. With the advent of high-speed internet, the average surfer moves through sites much faster, decreasing the conversion rate of the sales pages for first-time visitors. Even in the traditional sales world, experts tell us that it takes a potential buyer from 7 to 10 exposures to the product before they purchase. So how do we duplicate that online? Obviously one method would be to continue to drive surfers to our sites, hoping that once they have seen our ad enough times, they will eventually purchase. However, we generally pay a price for each visitor that comes to our web site.So what if we were to capture the name and email address of each of our visitors, and then send them a friendly reminder to re-visit our site, perhaps once every few days, thus giving them the chance to visit our site 7-10 and make the purchase? So that is exactly what we do. We design our web sites in such a fashion that visitors are compelled to give us the needed information, and we begin to develop a relationship with them. Every few days we email them an informative letter, giving them another done............completed dun.............demand money dos.............opposite of don'ts dues............membership payments The Vital Few int...........a weak, misdirected attack to confuse the enemyBack in the 19th century, an Italian economist quantified the general relationship between a minority of producers and a majority of output. Sound familiar? The simplified version of Vilfredo Pareto's ratio, known as the 80/20 rule or the Pareto Principle, says that in most cases, 80% of production comes from 20% of producers.Quality guru J.M. Juran referred to Pareto's principle as "The Vital Few and the Trivial Many". If you are running a company the 80/20 rule has powerful implications for every area of your business.Pareto's postulate says 20% of your effort will generate 80% of your results. There is also a corollary: 20% of your results absorb 80% or your resources or efforts. The game is knowing which is the right 20% - distinguishing the Vital Few from The Trivial Many. 20% of your customers yield 80% or your revenues, and 20% of your customers yield 80% of your profit. But not necessarily the same 20%.Your sales force (even if it's just you) will intuitively spend more time with the top 20% customers, but will it be the right 20%? There is also likely to be a top 20% of customer types, a top 20% of territories, and a top 20% of distributors.Which customers get the most service? Your service team spends 80% of its time on 20% of the customers - although they may not be the most profitable 20%.Focus your attention on the Vital Few customers. Low Cost Web Hosting Services >Low cost web hosting means taking a server from a host to put up your own website or some information on the Internet. These services are extended to individuals, institutions and even to people who wish to be web hosts themselves. The major types of web hosting services are free web hosting, dedicated web hosting, and shared hosting, collocation web host and reseller web hosting. Among these, free web hosting service can be may get its revenues from advertisements placed on the website, or may charge a nominal price for web space. There is a great different between dedicated and shared web hosting services. Dedicated web hosting provides the entire server for one website. Big companies with extensive websites typically own a dedicated web hosting services. Of course, dedicated servers are expensive and, cannot be termed low cost web hosting services. Shared web hosting services fall within this genre. In shared web hosting services, many websites share the same server, thereby reducing costs. This has drawbacks like reducing speed and making information more accessible to tampering. Some people buy web space from low cost web hosting services and then resell it to other companies or individuals. This is like an agency business, where the reseller becomes the middleman and is called a reseller web hosting service. In collocation web service (rarely used), a person will own physical space to maintain a server. Top 5 Tips to Fixing Your Credit Report p>Never underestimate the value of good credit. If your credit history isn’t spick and span, make sure to promptly fix your credit report. This is very important. For example, maybe you are a student and you need a loan to pay for graduate school. Your credit history will affect whether or not you get that loan and consequentially it may even affect whether or not you attend that university. If applying for a private student loan, your creditor or lending institution will probably request a copy of your credit report and credit score. This will determine whether or not you meet the criteria for a loan. If so, the funds you do end up paying out of pocket will obviously be a great deal less. To ensure you are a successful loan applicant, check for any inaccuracies and fix your credit report if you find errors.Other forms of credit like mortgages, auto loans, and business loans, will operate in the same way – you must boast good credit history to benefit from any of these things. It is a good idea to request a free copy of your credit report at least once a year, but request a copy from three national credit and reporting agencies. Then check for errors and quickly correct any that you come across.Other tips to make fixing your report as easy as possible, is limit the number of credit card counts you have. And maintain the total available credit on these accounts, being carefully aware of how much credit you’ve used. freeze..........turn to ice frieze..........a wall decoration friar...........a monk fryer...........small chicken gaff............a barbed spear gaffe...........a mistake gage............a pledge or security deposit gauge...........instrument for measuring gait............a manner of walking or running gate............fence door gaited..........describing a walking horse gated...........having a gate galley..........ship's kitchen gally...........to frighten or terrify gallop..........horse's fastest gait galop...........a round dance gene............a chromosome jean............cotton twill gild............coat with gold gilled..........having gills guild...........a craft society gilt............gold-plated guilt...........culpable gin.............alcoholic beverage jinn............plural of jinni, a Muslim spirit or demon gnawed..........chewed nod.............head tilting gneiss..........coarse-grained metamorphic rock of feldspar, quartz and mica nice............pleasant gnu.............African antelope knew............past tense of know new.............not old, unused gnus............several antelope news............timely information gored...........pierced by an animal's horns gourd...........fleshy fruit with hard skin gorilla.........large ape guerrilla.......freedom fighter grade...........a slope grayed..........turned gray graft...........attach graphed.........plotted grate...........a lattice great...........extremely good grays...........more than one shade of black graze...........eat grass while wandering grease..........lubricant Greece..........Mediterranean country greave..........leg armor grieve..........mourn greaves.........more than one greave grieves.........mourn grill...........sear cook grille..........an iron gate or door groan...........reaction to hearing a pun grown...........has gotten larger guessed.........past tense of guess guest...........a visitor guide...........one who shows the way guyed...........secured with a rope or wire guise...........appearance guys............slang for more than one male gunnel..........small, eel-shaped marine fish; butterfish gunwale.........upper part of sides of a boat gym.............sports room Jim.............nickname for James hail............frozen rain hale............robust health hair............grows from your head hare............rabbit hairy...........having much hair Harry...........a man's name harry...........harass or hunt hall............a large room h aul............carry halve...........break in two have............hold in possession halves..........more than one half haves...........those who possess hammock.........rope bed hummock.........low, rounded hill hangar..........garage for airplanes hanger..........from which things hang Harold..........a man's name herald..........one who announces hart............a stag heart...........blood pump ho..............an expression of admiration or surprise hoe.............garden tool hay.............grass hey.............a shout hays............more than one type of hay haze............atmospheric obscuration due to water or dust he'd............contraction of "he would" heed............pay attention he'll...........contraction of "he will" heal............make well, to cure of disease hill............smaller than a mountain heel............hind part of foot, hind part of bread hear............listen here............at this location heard...........listened to herd............a group of ruminants heigh...........an exclamation hi..............a greeting hie.............go quickly high............way up heir............see: air heroin..........narcotic heroine.........female hero hew.............chop hue.............a color Hugh............a man's name hide............animal skin hied............hurried higher..........farther up hire............employ him.............third person male pronoun hymn............religious song hoar............a white frost whore...........a prostitute hoard...........a great stash horde...........a great many people whored..........prostituted hoarse..........rough voice horse...........equine hoes............more than one garden weeding tool hose............tube for watering hold............grip holed...........full of holes hole............round opening whole...........entirety holey...........perforated holy............with religious significance wholly..........completely hostel..........inexpensive lodging for travelers hostile.........unfriendly hour............sixty minutes our.............possessed by us hours...........time measurement ours............belonging to us humerus.........arm bone humorous........funny
