Smart Tips to Using the RSS ysterious, I’m not going to tell you which one of these is me, but you can sure guess. I’ll tell you if you’re right. The technology of RSS is something that we all look forward to having. RSS or Really Simple Syndication gives a wide array of help in maximizing the distribution of your articles or any marketing material on the web. Since people are not too much familiar with the usage of the RSS, I have enlisted below some of the reasons why one should opt to using the RSS.• First, RSS does not conform to any rules of maintenance. Just the mere thought that you are not over burdened with the time it takes to maintain your list or conform to any of the internet rules is a big relief on anybody’s side.• RSS is filter free. With RSS, you do not have to worry about your messages being regarded as spam messages by the ultra sensitive spam filters.• RSS provides free of charge and extremely easy promotion of site. This is a good way of freeing yourself with the burdens of thinking on how you can generate traffic on your site. RSS will shoulder that worry.• RSS has the capability to make your service and product offerings on a wider range. RSS gives you the privilege of having your advertisement go on a wider range. In fact, with this capability, RSS allows for a more expeditious way of broadcasting these offerings. RSS has a feature that allows readers to choose If I only Had a Brain It’s expected that, given a lecture on a fairly technical topic, the speaker would allow the audience at the end to a Is It Worth Selling Low Cost Items By Online Auction I do a lot of public speaking, some for free, some for fund-raising, some just because I feel like it. When I’m not speaking myself, sometimes I’ll go and listen to another person speak. It might be a renowned speaker who commands thousands of dollars for an afternoon, or just a local nobody talking about something regional.Established online auction sites make selling low value goods an expensive method of disposal, We explore the options to avoid tossing those goods in the garbage or giving them away to charity and thrift shops. What is the problem with low cost items?Basically the OVERHEADS of placing a listing are more or less the same regardless of whether you list an item for 5 dollars or 5,000 - so it follows the more expensive item can more easily carry the cost of listing. Some auction sites charge commission on top for a successful sale so this again can eat into the sale price you appear to be getting for the goods. In reality you could loose 10-20% of the sale price in costs. And, more likely you end up NOT SELLING at all, perhaps your reserve was too high, or there were just too many items to choose from of the same type - best deal wins every time. Not selling means you PAY not to sell an item, so to relist seems a daunting task and fraught with the idea that you may no sell AGAIN after even more expenses. So, what are the alteratives?1. Drop the stuff in the garbage and right of the experience - and try and forget how much it cost you.2. Give it all to a charity or thrift shop, asking yourself why you did not do this in the first pl Sometimes, when I’m lucky, I’ll go to a lecture for which I have no interest whatsoever and leave feeling all excited about it. In times like that I know the speaker has done his job very effectively, and has given me something to think about and learn from. But that’s the bright side, and if there’s a bright side there must also be one full of pure ineptitude and misfortune. Hence we come to this post. I’m going to tell you about some of the horrors I’ve seen, and in one case committed myself, in the public speaking field over the last year. Now, I can’t say that I’ve ever done a perfect lecture myself, but most of the time I at least don’t commit some hideous public speaking crime. In 2006 I did, and just to show that I’m humble I’ll tell you all about it. Just to be mysterious, I’m not going to tell you which one of these is me, but you can sure guess. If I only Had a Brain It’s expected that, given a lecture on a fairly technical topic, the speaker would allow the audience at the end to a Talk Versus Action: A Closer Look al nobody talking about something regional.Talk! Talk! Talk! We are in a business where talk reigns supreme, and the boldest talkers are always at center stage. Claims run rampant about everything from ad responses - to phenomenal product results - to bodacious income projections.Sometimes this talk sways the uninitiated, and if they fail to seek any type of verification before taking action, they might find that they have based their decisions and plans on pipe dreams and smoke screens. However, before I leave the impression that talk is always cheap (and therefore frivolous), I need to emphasize the legitimate role of responsible talk in MLM. Responsible talk in our industry accomplishes a number of things:It speaks public commitments into existence which then create the forum for public accountability that is so helpful to those who need a support structure for continuous production; It helps people design a time frame for success (i.e., I’m going to lose 20 more pounds before Easter); It excites and motivates others to think bigger; It sets a climate for accomplishment in the organization which stimulates others to make commitments; It intensifies focus for everyone so they can evaluate their goals, large and small. We consider this type of talk to be positive becau Sometimes, when I’m lucky, I’ll go to a lecture for which I have no interest whatsoever and leave feeling all excited about it. The government is providing most of the financial investment but employers and trade unions are also heavily active in this area. However, it is very difficult for the uninitiated and even insiders, to keep up with the activities of all these different stakeholders. Learning and skills even has its own terminology - do you know your LSC from an SSA or even a ULR? How about the NIACE or the SSDA?The sheer complexity of learning and skills services has resulted in the establishment of another specialist niche service known as Information, Advice and Guidance, with its own acronym, IAG. Moreover, not a week goes by it seems without another government White Paper, pilot project or publication on learning and skills. Perhaps the difficulty lies in the fact that no one has yet decided who is responsible for training and educating the UK workforce.Should it be the responsibility of the state through the education system at tax payer’s expense? Or perhaps employers should bare the burden of training - after all they profit directly from the skills of their workforce? How about the workers themselves? Maybe they shou But that’s the bright side, and if there’s a bright side there must also be one full of pure ineptitude and misfortune. Hence we come to this post. T If I only Had a Brain It’s expected that, given a lecture on a fairly technical topic, the speaker would allow the audience at the end to ask questions to get clarification. Well, victim number one, to his credit, did take questions at the end of his lecture. “That’s about it for my lecture,” he says. “Now, are there any questions?” There was one, and it was a good one. His answer? “Uh, I’m not sure. Blah blah blah, fumble fumble. Another question?” Next question came. His answer to this one? “Ha ha, you guys are stumping me today. I’m not really sure about that either. Next…” This continued in this way for a while until both the audience and the speaker had given up in irritation and everything sort of unraveled. It seemed the speaker had perhaps been hired to cover a particular topic and given certain guidelines of research. But in the end it was obvious that outside of the framework of what he personally said, he didn’t have a clue. LESSON LEARNED #1: Know your topic. If you don’t, they’re gonna find out.
