About half way around the car, I swap my dry towel for the wet towel and get another dry towel and this will make it easier to clean windows. Pretty simple huh? The average waterless car wash takes only about 3 ounces of product to wash a complete car.

How much money do you make? Depending on your expertise, you can charge by the hour $10-$20 or by the job. I recommend by the job, as it will only take you about a half an hour to wash a car after you get a little experience under your belt. So depending on your ability, you should charge $19.95 to $49.95 per vehicle. You should know that the larger the vehicle, the more you should charge. You wouldn’t change the same for a Mini Cooper that you would for a big RV. As your expertise and reputation grows, you will be able to raise your prices. You will be able to charge $100 and up for more complicated wash jobs. And you can build a clientele that want their car washed frequently. Customer service will help you build your business quickly.

There are many top detailers that make over $100,000 a year. One detailer that I know specializes in high dollar cars and charges by the year for a weekly vehicle clean up, in the $5000 - $7500 a year range.
