301 Redirect: A Review From The One Who Tried It A Few Times t: October 2005Much has been said in the highly reputable places like Webmasterworld and Digital Point about this particular type of redirecting links, pagerank and most importantly anchor text value - but HOW does it actually work in reality?I have come to a few conclusions based on a number of successful and unsuccessful redirects.Case study #1 - redirecting old penalized domain to a new one:This has issues though - especially related to the famous SANDBOX filter for brandnew dead-in-the-water domains. However based on 4 previous experinces I came to a conclusion that this is more or less a hit and miss issue - in other words in *might* or *might not* work. Success rate is exactly 50% on that one. I am talking Google of course. Before the redirect those were brutally penalized domains that had no PR assigned despite a number of high PR one-ways and no rankings for a 4-kwd geo search even in top 500. In 2 cases out of 4 a 301 redirect did transfer all backlinks and PR and - whew! - top 10 rankings for keywords with medium competitveness. So the verdict is - a 301 redirect could be the last resort when nothing else works to get your penalized domain out of google marsches It did work with Yahoo as well but MSN still seems to be pretty stubborn with all The publisher states that the book will offer readers a wide variety of proven business-building techniques from many of the most successful network marketing Build A Thriving Home Business Fast With This Powerful Secret Below you'll find some of the hottest direct selling, network marketing, MLM, and marketing books - including Laura Klepacki's Avon: Building the World's Premier Company for Women; Mark Hughes' guide on how businesses capitalize on word-of-mouth in Buzzmarketing; and Build It Big: 101 Insider Secrets from Top Direct Selling Experts by the Direct Selling Women's Alliance.A few weeks ago I got a call from guy named Peter.Peter is a hard working guy who is desperately looking for a way to make money at home.He hates his job, has no formal education and has no idea where to start. The only "lead" he has on what to do is joint venture marketing which he read about on one of my sites. In other words, he likes the idea of selling business A's product to business B (and vice versa), and taking a cut of the profit -- which is what joint venture marketing is.However, he still didn't know where to start or what to do. He didn't know how to find product owners. He figured if he could find product owners, it would be easy to find out other businesses to sell to. Plus, he was worried he had no reputation and didn't know if anyone would really take him seriously.I told him the solution to his problem was actually very simple. And if you are looking for a fast home business to start, you can use this exact same solution I gave him, too. Here is what I told him:I suggested that Peter try to acquire other older products by experts in a niche he was interested in and leverage off of that person’s credibility. For example, a few years ago I found an expert on buying businesses. I saw his ad on ebay. I emailed hi The books are listed in order by publication date. Also, book prices are subject to change. After all, the operating guys will be doing almost the same amount of work." To say that is skepticism over the benefits of SMED / Quick Changeover is akin to saying an iceberg is just an oversized ice cube. The act of learning, applying, and retaining the SMED / Quick Changeover methodology causes a change in the way a changeover is viewed. This change is an essential building block of making Lean Management part of the culture of the enterprise. In effect, Lean becomes part of the company DNA.By having a cross-functional team methodically review a changeover and separate work elements into internal and external work elements, the understanding of what is really being done in the changeover comes to light. The team members "learn to see" the changeover from a new perspective. A streamlining of the separated work elements aimed at eliminating non-required steps ensures non-value added waste is removed. When the remaining elements are arranged in a new logical sequence, the resulting time, when the operation is shut down for changeover, is typically 50% of the pre- SMED time. Many people think it is a problem while others believe it is the best way to trade stocks. Day trading is seen by some as a great skill that is the only way to play the stock game. Day trading does offer many benefits and perhaps it is the benefits that draw so many to the idea of day trading.Day trading is the process of buying a stock and selling it in the same day. A person is considered a day trader when they complete four or more day trades in a five business day period and has two unmet day trade calls in 90 days. Day traders are more concerned with buying and selling not the bottom line. At the end of the day all stocks bought must be sold irregardless of profit or loss. The two major benefits of day trading are quick exit to losses and immediate results. Day trading forces a quick trade of a losing stock which keeps the stockholder from sitting it out to see if the stock rises. This “sitting out” process could end up with the stockholder losing larger amounts of money. A quick exit on a losing stock keeps losses low. Getting immediate results and being able to see those results helps in many ways. The first is obviously reducing the constant worry about whether to buy or sell. Although there are certain dangers in taking this loan, home owners still make constant use of them. The danger is that the loans are secured loans and if you for any reason could no longer pay off the loan payments regularly you could lose your home to the bank or money lenders. These loans can be used for almost anything that home owners want them for. They are considered the special loans of home owners and they may take them at any time for any project they might have in mind.If you intend buying a new car it would be a good idea to buy the car with the proceeds of the loan and then pay the loan off rather than the car payment. You will be paying less interest and this could mean a big saving for you. The interest rate of the loan will be less than that of the car payment. This loan is often used by home owners to pay for college tuition fees for their children. This is a good use for the loan and warrants the price of the interest and loan charges that you will be paying on the loan. Funny how we see the Net as its own entity instead of just another marketing channel. When I meet people and they say they're going to start an "Internet business", I get worried. It's as if that's all they need to know -- not what they're selling or who their customers are.
